Advantage Moving And Storage, Inc. Destroyed and Lost My Items, Denied my Insurance Claim, Hung up on Me on the Phone! Atlanta Georgia

I moved from Georgia to North Hollywood. Advantage claimed to have the best rates in the area. They were extremely nice and seemingly helpful especially a salesperson named James. But once my stuff got on their truck they were no more Mister nice guy. They did a horrible of getting the best possible quote for me. They didn't ask the right questions or help guide me in gaging the amount of stuff I have. They overcharged me and instead of explaining nicely why the price went up after the loaded my stuff they yelled at me on the phone and would hang up on me. Their are such words as "I'm sorry for the inconvience, we're trying everything we can to help you." No, no, no, they blamed me for everything.

They have very bad business practices and have the worst customer service. The over charging me though is the least of my problems with Advantage Moving... I would have let it go and moved on with my life and just known that I learned a lesson from their horrible business, but then they really pulled a fast one on me...

Once my stuff got to North Hollywood and was unloaded, I was informed that 2 major furniture items were completely destroyed. The top of my desk was so badly destroyed that it didn't even make the trip, meaning Advantage Moving's personal in-state movers destroyed my desk piece before they even transferred it to come to California. They destroyed some cabinets very badly which I clearly took pictures of before they had to throw it away it was so badly destroyed. My 3 disc CD Changer won't turn on either and my TV, DVDs, and games never made it to California. I don't know where they are.

When I try to call and speak to them about these issues I get put on hold for more than 20 minutes. If I do get on the phone they are rude & heartless to me. They have yet to explain why my insurance claim did not go through and the only thing their head of accounting, Nikki, will talk to me about is the things that she has no control over, but is completely unhelpful with information that she does have information about but chooses not to discuss with me such as the details of my insurance claim. The only people that are nice in their office are the clueless receptionists they have transferring calls.

I now have half my furniture destroyed and I have not been compensated for it. So that is coming out of my pocket. I'm missing over a 100 DVDs and my games and a TV that will take me years to replace. This is not a situation that I will just learn a lesson from and move on... this is my life... I called and counted on Advantage Moving to be a positive move and helpful transition to starting my new life in California and they caused me nothing but pain and stress. They barely provided a service to me and should be shut down cause they run a horrible business and they are nothing but cruel and heartless to their customers. They believe they are always right and the customer is wrong.

My advice: NEVER GO WITH ADVANTAGE MOVING and as for Advantage Moving... you need to call Wachovia and have them give you some tips on how to treat your customers and run a successful business. And keep your manager Jay off the phone with your customers.

All they had to do was give me some kind of insurance compensation and be nice to me and I would have went on my way, but now I'm going to do as much bad advertising for them as I can cause I do not want others to be treated like I was. They do not deserve to have a moving company.
