I am writing this to warn any perspective future employees or clients who are considering working for or with AffiliateTraction.

Formerly known as NetTraction, AffiliateTraction is run by Greg Shepard, a man who will promise you the world and then not deliver. In my time there I saw unethical business practices, including standard operating practices that are in direct breach of contract with their network partners.

Greg is unable to separate his emotions from his work ethic, and has gone about screaming at people at the top of his lungs. This would happen on a semi regular basis with him, with no more than two or three weeks going by without having to deal with his yelling at you for half an hour over something that the company was doing that he did not like.

Working there I was promised, by Greg himself, raises for when specific benchmarks were met. Greg did not live up to his end of the deal, and continued to pay me far less than what I was promised equated out to roughly $9 an hour while running an entire department within the company. Greg was more concerned about himself and his pocket than he was for his employees having to scrape by on food because hes not paying them what they need to survive.

To give an example, this man will hire on an entire round of sales people being paid on pure commission and send them out to bring in new clients. Then, once they have closed a deal or so, hell do one of two things:

1) Hell fire them, thereby keeping the clients they brought on without having to pay them any commission

2) Hire them to an employee status and give them a small salary, and then not pay them the commission from the client they brought on.

AffiliateTraction also has a tendency to use salary instead of hourly wages, which in itself is not that big of a deal until you break down the hours youre working they starts people out at less than minimum wage and calls it salary so he can justify it. Affiliate traction also has horrible internal communications. Greg and his selected few would make decisions that affect every person in the company, like extending the office hours an hour and forcing everyone to stay an extra hour every day, but wont tell anyone else until the very last minute, in this case, 2 minutes before closing the day before the office hours change took effect.

The treatment of the clients is horrible, as well. Corners are cut because Greg doesnt want to put in the money or effort to fix the decaying and near crippled internal systems they have in place. Theyll also push out hiring on new people as long as possible for the departments that need them most, causing workload pile ups and metaphorical fires that need to be dealt with immediately in order to retain this or that client. Theyll then turn around and blame the person running that department, regardless of if they had been requesting additional personnel for months prior.

For anyone thinking of working with or for AffiliateTraction, I highly suggest looking elsewhere. The company has been doing major efforts in the last year or so to suppress any negative information about them, and judging by the latest Google search I did for them, theyve been doing a pretty decent job, thereby making it more difficult for people to know the truth about this shady and underhanded company.

WRONG GREG SHEPARD

AUTHOR: Greg - ()

POSTED: Monday, March 03, 2014

There is a Greg Shepard from Salt Lake City, Utah.  His company RaPower3 is also in Utah.  The Greg Shepard listed in the Ripoff Report is another Greg Shepard, apparently from California.

The Ripoff Report has nothing to do with Utah's Greg Shepard or RaPower3.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Everything stated is true

AUTHOR: doginthefog - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 11, 2010

I am quite pleased that I saw this today.

I agree that this is most assuredly a company that needs reporting, and staying away from completely, whether a prospective employee, or a client.

I have seen all that the original poster had stated.  The company is definitely of the caliber of promising the moon but barely delivering a river rock to employees or clients.

If you are a client, AffiliateTraction implements a cookie cutter approach, and just throws you into a queue.  There is no "real" personal attention to your specific marketing, or brand.  You will most likely be told one thing by the sales department, but then once you are in the system there, you will have an account manager.  Believe not what the sales or the account people state.

The biggest thing that a client will be told, is that it takes three months to see any results from their style of getting you marketed.  Truth there is about one half of that time is them establishing the client into their own cumbersome cookie cutter system.  All this time as a client you will be paying them thousands during that time, with completely nothing to show for it, not even being activated into an affiliate network.

While I was there I was shocked that most of the "higher ups" at AffiliateTraction were not concerned about whether or not a client would walk.  As I left my employment I understood as to why this is the case.  AffiliateTraction had the client's money already, and had to do next to nothing to get it for that time, and as PT Barnum used to say, "there's a sucker born every minute."

During my time there it seemed to me that most clients left within a year of initially signing up.  Reasons for this was either no noticeable difference in online sales, or that the client was actually doing better doing their own affiliate marketing.

The last thing that I wish to give warning to anyone; is the individual in question in the original post.  While that person is incredibly great at saying one thing and doing another, promising this but only giving a small amount of that.  He is also great at bullying and strong arming.  Threats from his mouth are hollow.  Not backed up by anything but the air from his lungs, just as his promises are.  If has has threatened you with any type of action.  Document it thoroughly, completely, with all detail.  If legal action were really an option he would not be telling you but his lawyer.  Anyone has a right to say anything that they wish as long as it is factual.  The previous post I read was just that, factual.

Good luck to all affiliate marketers out there, and please stay away from this company of little ethics, no matter what your interaction is with AffiliateTraction, it will be just a matter of time before you are utterly disappointed.
