Airtran Airways ripoff Lost Baggage can't even get a call back Carrollton Georgia

On 8/3/06 I traveled to Los Angeles from Jacksonville, FL via Atlanta. Due to delays in security, our bags made it on the morning flight but we did not. The gate agent moved us to a later flight.

When we arrived in LA, 2 of our bags had arrived, but the 3rd was not there. The agent at the airport told me to wait to be sure it didn't arrive on the same evening flight we did, so I waited, and we filed a claim. It is a Pink 25" American Tourister Bag weighing about 40 lbs.

I went to LA for a semi-formal dinner, and formal wedding reception. The formal dress was in another bag, so I didn't need to replace it, but I did have to purchase appropriate attire for the semiformal dinner and undergarments for the dress as well as shoes to match both. This cost me over 270. I kept all my receipts and invitations to the events.

All weekend I called to get updates as baggage claim at LAX was not calling me as promised.

On Sat. they stopped taking calls, I left appr. 10 voice mail messages that day.

On Sunday I also called at least 2 times and left voice mails. No calls back at all.

On Sun evening we were flying out of LAX, so I stopped in the Baggage office and spoke to Jeffrey. He took copies of all my receipts and invitations and said he'd submit it to Dante Perkins who is in charge of Reimbursement, that Dante would call me at 3:15 PM EST on Mon regarding my claim, and he also told me that my claim would be sent to central baggage due to company policy.

On Mon, I received no call from Dante at 3:15 EST, or 3:15 PST, so I called the LAX baggage office and left 4 messages yesterday. I also contacted central baggage claim and left a message.

Today I have called 3 times to LAX baggage claim and left messages and 2 times to Central baggage claim with no calls back. I had over 2000 in items in the lost bag.
