AIU Online - American Intercontinenal University Where were the advisors when I needed them? ripoff Hoffman Estates Illinois

I got caught in this scam from AIU, I did four classes and my husband got very sick. He was in treatment for Hepititis C, I asked for a leave of absence three times. All I got from my advisor was the reply of " you can't take a leave in the middle of a class"

When class was over I could not get ahold of any advisor! I was finally kicked out for my grades being so low. At the same time my Parents' house was destroyed in Hurricane Wilma, so between the stress and worry over my husband and parents I could not even think about classes.

Now I'm in default of my loans and Sallie Mae or Wachovia say that this is between the school and myself.
The school never told me their accreditation was under probation either.So now I really need some kind of help!
