I am a young single mother of 3 great kids. I have been it a terrible relatioship which has caused me to move do to the violent acts that my ex did to me everyday. I am in a better place nd ready togo back to college loke of dreamed of but do to he controlling issues I was not allowed to. So today I get online in sincere hope I would find some grants to allow me to get me through the nursing program so I can bettter my life and do whats best for my kids. all the sudden I recieve a call from Chad Dreyer from the aiu online. He asked me several ?'s and told me that I didnt really need toworrry about anwsering them because he's sure he can do it for me. He kept saying this is the schooling you need so you canstay home because you need to for your kids. it all fit what sounded to be like the perfect opportunity to get mydegree andhe said in 13 months I would have it. Then at the end he says a list of things I need to do when I apply and that I had to hae it in by 5:00pm so it could be reviewed. Then he called about 30 minutes later and left a message wanting to know how I was doing on the application. However by thistime I had clicked on the site he gave me and was going to start and found all the reports that has been filed on them. I wa sothankful to all of you that took he time to warn us others that was close to being taken advantage of.

If you want to become a nurse, do your research and find a school that will meet your needs at a fraction of the cost. AIU is not the school for nursing, they are too expensive and you can find somewhere else cheaper.

Jessica, don't do it. If you want to be a nurse AIU is NOT the school for you because they don't have a nursing program. They have an associates in some kind of health care administration which is essentially worthless. RUN (do not walk) to your local community college. You will get a good education at a fraction of the cost. Many schools have on-site day care, and they will have online courses as well. Good luck to you!

Jessica,
Keep looking at other schools. AIU is owned by Career Education Corporation which is in...Illinois. I'm sure that everyone else that has posted has done so because they are connected with AIU and/or CEC. It's all sales and although you may have a good experience at AIU, keep in mind that this school had come really close to losing its accreditation with SACS and as a matter of fact they ultimately sought accreditation elsewhere with the North Central Association with is one of the top accrediting bodies. Yes it's true that they've had the initial approval for NCA-HLC accreditation, it's only a matter of time before AIU will be back to its old ways.
Try doing a search on the following: AIU loses accreditation, AIU open enrollment policy and anything to do with Career Education Corporation (CEC).
There are much better choices and the goal is to get an reputable education that you can use...not to get through school as quickly as possible.

American Intercontinental University; Chad Dreyer SUPERB CUSTOMER SERVICE Internet Internet
I recently have been looking into online universities to advance myself and provide for my family. While searching the internet I came across A.I.U. and numerous other universities. Before I made my decision I wanted more information from A.I.U. and two other universities. When contacted by A.I.U. I was greeted by a nice young man who was genuinely excited to help me pursue my dream of completing my bachelor's degree. He was eager to answer any questions I had and was extremely empathetic to my concerns and apprehensions. With a no pressure attitude and superb advice CHAD DREYER made me fell so at ease. I would urge anyone interested in an online degree to research A.I.U. and speak directly with CHAD DREYER!!!! Loki 25 Algonquin, Illinois
