AIU Online I am not the only employee this has happened to. If you follow the chain of command at the University to file any unethical, immoral or illegal behaviors the University is committing, the reporting employee is investigated and terminated. It is common knowledge among all AIU Online employees that if you report any unethical, immoral or illegal activities at AIU Online, the NDOA and the Human Resource Department will investigate the reporting employee until they can find something to terminate the employee, even if the investigation turns up false accusations about the employee.

The original reported activities are never investigated, just the reporting employee's "alleged misconduct". AIU Online knows very well how to "cover" themselves legally so they cannot be charged with retaliation to a whistleblowing employee. They have LOTS of practice.

AIU Online has many accreditation issues right now. The upper management reports to SACS that they are diligent in correcting these issues. This is untrue. AIU Online is still operating the same way they did to get placed on probation. They are just eliminating any and all employees that object to their unethical and illegal actions. The ethical employees have sense enough to find other employment and leave.

People promoted to these management positions are the same people who caused AIU Online to be placed on probation; and they, in turn, promote only their "fraternity" of friends who conduct business just like them. These managers are operating unethically and illegally; but many employees have been made examples of by being terminated so no one will report the problems.

It is not uncommon for an employee who is questioning the integrity or ethical behaviors of management to be told, "I am sure if I dig deep enough, I can find something to get you fired".

There is a constant threat that you may lose your job if you do not have high enrollment numbers. AIU Online doesn't care about the students, just the money they are raking in. If you are not part of the "fraternity" at AIU Online, you will lose your job. Ask any ex-employee, the employees are too afraid to report AIU Online to SACS.
