Selection: We responded to mail-advertizing and good price. The sales agent when we visited the shop was very friendly, but talked too much!
No-Show: We were asked to move furniture, take down the curtains, frames, etc. to prep the work-area. We did all that in July of 2006. Had given a 9am-12pm window. Waited all day. did not show up at all! It turned out that the windows were not even made!
Irresponsible: called several times starting 10:30AM since no one showed up. Our sales agent could not be located. other agent gave us "so what" and "it's not my job" type responses. Also, said that they can not do anything if people don't show up!!! Also the fact that windows were not even made should have been known several days in advance. But they did not tell us, nor did they rescheduele the appointment until after the no-show.
Rude: All this communication happened with rude, infuriating attitude displayed by the agent in the shop. He said did not want to be bothered when he was with another customer (i.e. trying to trick another one into the trap).
Quality: Chipped paint and plaster off the walls and edges. Did not repair. Smudges all over the place - on frames, on walls. Poor window screen installation (gap along the edge), even for small bathroom window. Sealent was slapped on to the window edges that looks like a crude job. I had to clean up everything.
Broken Promises: Agreed that the installation people would move the furniture and put it back for us, so that we dont have to do it twice, as a result of the earlier no-show. Did not do that.
Disregard for the Customer: I wrote to the company headquarters, and also to their customer service, asking to be compensated for the wasted time. There was no response at all! No letters, no phone call, no e-mail responses!Basically, once they locked us in for the price, they ignored us.
Untimely: We had specifically asked to have the job done BEFORE our external painting, so that any "crude" mishaps could be taken care of during the painting phase. As mentioned, they no-showed the first appointment, but did not even make it before the painting work was done.

I am sorry to hear that you had an unpleasant experience with our company. Since everything is said and done already there is nothing I can do to make it better except to appologize and reasure consumers that our company has taken many different steps to prevent these siutations from hapenning again. Even though this complaint is an isolated situation Allbrand Windows is the fastest growing window installation company in the state of California.
When ever you have a company that experiences such tremendous growth and a large influx or volume of customers I am sure one or two slip through with out getting the wonderful service that all our other customer receive which is the reason for our growth and sucess. Allbrand Windows has installed well over 8,500 customers over the past 48 months. Out of all those installation only two of the customer made it here to this website (which I have issues with in the first place, legal issues that is) but if you verify our BBB record our complaint ratio is less than .0001 %. This means that over 8,485 people had their windows, shutters, or doors installed with out any issues or problems. Consumers need to take all the information into account when making their decision and they also have to keep the volume of the company in mind. You cannot base your opinion on our company off of two customer out of 8500. I am sure that those two customers would not of even complained if they received some kind of financial reward which is what most consumers are looking for. They are not even as upset as they make themselves seem. They are just looking for a quick discount.
