Well as a former person who owed money to Alliance One, what is said here is true. If someone calls you from Alliance One make sure that you record the conversation. Do not tell them you are recording the call. Go to Radio Shak and but a digital recorder under $40 and tape away. If they call and leave a message on your voicemail other then the FOTI message DO NOT delete the message and keep saving them till you can prove multiple violations therefore helping to prove your case. If you are unfamiliar with the FOTI message google it. In short when leaving a message at your home the FOTI message consists of the agencies name the collectors name several disclosures that must be read on each call placed to your home or they are in violation. Hope this helps, I wish I had this information before I paid my account with them. If I had this information before I paid them they would have gotten sued sued sued. I wonder if I can still sue?
