I am a fool, and made a very bad decision.

When I first contacted Alliance Worldwide Van Lines, they sounded nice and were easy to talk to.  There rate was not the lowest nor the highest that I received and made the very poor choice of moving forward with them for my move.  I even put down $800 deposit that was apparently non-refundable.

I was told that 2 days before my move I would be contact by the drive and he would let me know what time the mover was going to start.  That day came and went without a phone call.  So the next day I called Alliance Worldwide Van Lines and my sales rep was on vacation.  It took them about 15 minuets to figure out that I even had a move scheduled for the next day.

I was told that my driver would call me in 20.  2 hours later i had not heard a thing. I call Alliance Worldwide Van Lines again.  This time I was told just to call the driver myself and was given his phone number.  

I reach out to the drive, introduced myself to him and let him know that I was calling to schedule my move time and he said, "Who are you?  I don't have a move scheduled in Portland tomorrow?".   We left it that he would call me later and he would look though his paper work.

Awesome!  

So I then called Alliance Worldwide Van Lines which had by then closed or the weekend.

Awesome!

Needless to say that I never did hear from the drive that night.

The next day was move day and I didn't hear form the driver that morning.  Nor did I hear from him that afternoon.  That night around 9 PM he finally called and said he could come by at 2:00 am and "make it happen!"

Not interested I said.

On Monday I got a call from Alliance Worldwide Van Lines.  There were very aggressive, and wanted to know why I canceled my move. 

I didn't want to get into it and just asked for the $800 back and they said no.

Again the deposit is non-refundable even if they don't show up as promised.

I am such a fool, please do not be as foolish as me.
