Allstate Homeowners Insurance took payment for insurance cancelled day AFTER closing on house Ripoff Akron Ohio

I requested insurance on home I was purchasing (april 12 2006) at least 3 weeks before closing.They came and looked at the house and issued a policy.The day after closing (april 13 2006) an agent called and said I needed a new roof and they were cancelling my policy unless I did it within a couple of weeks.

They admitted they KNEW this before closing.

They also stated I owed them 28.00 ,even though the yearly payment was received in full. the virginia insurance board said that although it was legal, it was dirty pool and to make a report. I then received a cancellation notice in the mail. I put on a new roof and got another company
