Ordered 30-day trial supply, paid $4.95 for shipping. Used for a month, did not like product (watery thin and nothing special), saw no improvement, did not intend to order any more. Received a cc charge of $89.95 followed by another shipment of product. Called cutomer service yesterday to say I was returning the box unopened and expected NOT to be charged and NOT to receive future shipments. Was told I was supposed to have contacted them within 14 days of first shipment if I wanted to cancel. (Do not remember seeing anything of the sort on the site and furthermore, do not see how a "30 day trial" translates to "cancel within 14 days").
The woman was very firm, borderline rude, told me it was my responsibility to read all the fine print and told me I had to continue using the product for a long time in order to know if it was effective. When I insisted I did not LIKE the product and would not use it she suggested I give this and future shipments to a friend or relative! I was told I had to pay for the current shipment plus at least one more before I could cancel!!!
She finally agreed to cancel my account immediately, although I still have to pay the first $89.95 charge. Said she would email me a confirmation number yesterday. Still have not received it. I called again today, talke to a man this time, he said records showed I was canceled and that my confirmation email must've gone to junk. Checked my junk file, no message. I will have to wait another month in order to know if additional charges have been incurred.
Cannot believe I got sucked into this, I avoid those online ads like the plague, but was swayed by all the Shark Tank hype - and am now wondering if this is even the product that was exhibited on Shark Tank or if it's a knock off brand that is masquerading as the Shark Tank product. Bottom line - if you have a product that is truly good and you believe in it, there is NO NEED to CON people into purchasing it - not once, but continually, until they manage to cancel. These people should be investigated by the California Attorney General. Lesson learned.
