We needed a $40,000.00 loan for school, bad credit, trying everything, they approved us. They claimed they found a lender, which they could not disclose, because they were private lenders. In order for us to get the loan it needed to be secured by one of 3 ways. Collateral, co-signer or their insurance co. (Pineridge Insurance)

After we did a little research we got a little weary about the situation. We asked for the # to the insurance co. I googled the insurance co # and it came up with it being a scam.
this was the email she sent me:
My name is Kimberly Grass. I'm a loan consultant here at Alpha
Financial Foundations. Your application for a loan request in the amount of
$40,000 has been submitted to my department to get the information verified.
I would need to confirm the information that we have here before I can take
it to the lenders to get it approved. If you are still interested in this
amount please contact me either by phone at 1-647-868-7244 or e-mail me
with your response.

Thank You

Kimberly Grass

Ive spoken to another girl, and the money was supposed to go thru western union to another girl named Michelle Samuel. When I googled the insurance companies customer service # it came up with scam for Silvercrest loans. So im assuming thats their first name...and this is their second name "ALPHA FINANCIAL FOUNDATIONS" I was lucky I did my research before we sent them any money. However, we almost went thorugh with it, because there were other options to secure the loan, but common sense on the number they gave us, for the insurance company, if it comes up scam...dont do it!!! So even though they pffer other options its still a rip off!! Canada

If Western Union is involved IT IS A SCAM!!!!

First of all, it is illegal to require upfront money for a loan.

Secondly, anyone asking for a fee before processing a loan is A SCAM!!!!

Thirdly, Western Union transactions cannot be traced, which is why the *&*& are telling you to use this service to send them money.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

AUTHOR: Kelly - (U.S.A.)

I was ripped off by these people! They are not good and they are NOT legitimate!!! I spoke with "Christine Williams" and "Kimberly Grass". I sent them $850 through Western Union to be picked up by "Michelle Samuel". Needless to say, after several calls, I was asked to pay $400 in over the border Canadian tax. I refused and was told I would get a refund and that I should call back yesterday afternoon to get Western Union refund info. Of course no one answered.

Today I spoke with "Karen Mercer" and she said they only issue refunds 4 times a year and I would get it FEB 28TH!!!! She also said that the "contract" I signed stated that if I didn't go through with the loan they would charge a fee, therefore my refun would only be $650.

I requested a manager. "Karen" would not give me a name or number and said she would have someone call me back. That was @ 9:30 this morning. No calls.

Needless to say, they got me and my $. But one way or another, I'll get more info and post it!!!!
