I never actually went to work for Alpine Access, and that's probably a good thing that saved me a lot of money.  I was lucky enough to encounter their poor support before I ever got started so they never got any money out of me.

They want $45 for a drug screen.  Another $45 to run a credit check on you.  And you have to invest $200-$300 in routers and two different types of telephone headsets before you can even get past "go" with them.  For one job they even wanted me to purchase an Xbox, another $300-$400 dollars!

So, you are looking at spending some pretty major dollars before you can even get qualified with them.

Four different times I encountered bugs in their system that would not allow me to select a work schedule or schedule a time for an interview.  One of those times their system was even displaying a message that they were having trouble with their system and it was down.  But you only have 24 hours to make your selections, and they don't care if their system is down during that whole time.  You lose the opportunity to make a selection and are booted out of the job anyway.

When I tried to report the errors to them through their support system, it took them three days to respond to me.  When they did finally respond, they tried to tell me I was receiving the errors because I was using Google Chrome.  But I wasn't using Google Chrome!  I've never even had it installed on my computer!  I even sent them a copy of the error message I was receiving which reported the client - or browser - I was using, and it was not Google Chrome!  Either they just wanted to ignore the fact that their system has bugs in it or they are too ignorant to read error messages.  I don't know which.

I do know that for a $9 an hour job it is just not worth the substantial cash outlay to get started with them, besides taking a hit on your credit report for a minimum wage job.  After my experience with their support, I suspect that once you did get started with them you would be on your own to solve any problems or figure out work-arounds for their system that has bugs and scripting errors in it.

My advice: save your money and go to work for Walmart.  At least they don't jack your credit up and make you pay through the nose to come to work.

Prices of Xbox

To be fair, when I first started there they offered a reimbursment for the xbox console itself.  Which I took advantage of.

LIES

Before you go and try and bash a company get your facts right!... The program does not cost over 400$.. It is a one time fee of $45 for a drug test and BR Test they pay for half of the costs you pay the other and in some cases it is only $25 I work there and I get paid every two weeks. You need the xbox for the reason of your doing support for the console so I think you should know what your supporting, If you don't want the xbox program job then you don't have to take it they have 100's of other jobs. As for the router 200$? d**n what store do you shop in they cost under $50 and 99% of your internet companys give you them for free. You need a landline corded with a mic $25... Now no one is saying you have to take this job, like any job in the USA or anywhere you have to buy stuff for work such as some jobs have a dress code so you would need to buy clothes in this case you just have to buy computer stuff! Don't just go and bash a job calling it a scam when you know nothing about it, they pay you for the training also just so you know. With this job you save more money on not buying gas and s**t so that would pay for your xbox.

Good company

The reason that you need to have an XBOX is this is the product that you will be answerinf questions about.  You must know the product in order to be able to answer the questions.

You would be amazed at the questions that are asked by people on the telephone, with out access to the actual XBox you would be lost.

Paying for your own backgorund check is not odd.  I have worked for a state university and I paid for my background check with one University but not for another University in the same umiversity system, its a big expense so if you want the job and you know you don't have a shady background then you would have no problem.

This company is a good one.  If it were not the number of large companies that allow them to services their customers on calls would not exist.
