I had a water leak happen under my home it was a spit T value on 11/09/2013 I call American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida. They sent out a adjuster to take my claim he told me that it was realy bad and big whole it should be covered. But I would have to have whole new kitchen due to mobile home cabinets are stable in and they would break up coming out. So he told me to get a estimate for the Insurane we did and the company HMI came out and he said it would cost $10,000 then no one call for 3wks.I called adjuster to see why no one call yet and he said they they call in about 3 wks, also he said the estimate was a little differt than his I told him to take it up with HMI and adjust to accordins I finally call and they told me that person in charge would call me in 30mins to talk to me also she said they work on my case right before Thankgiving it would be fininshed that day 12/03/2013, I told that person what happen they said they sent me a letter on what going on , they would tell her my info my cell number so they could call me .So I waited A hr 1/2 and had to go and get my errands done I came home no one had call me. Your report is missing some documentation. What is your contract about the insurance? There are certain things I can see why they denied your claim. One is $10,000 is quite high for a repair to a mobile home. A mobile home value cannot be compared to a real house. Even you put $10,000 into a mobile home does not mean the value of the home will increase that much. As a result, a claim for $10,000 seems to be too high and/or unreasonable. The other is the length of time you have had the insurance. You took the policy less than 2 months before the incident, and then you attempted to make a claim. This does sound fishy and may trigger an alarm to the insurance company. Also, I am not sure if there is any time period stated in the contract requiring a certain time period to be passed?
Anyway, you need to show the readers what is written in your contract. Who knows, someone may be able to find some wording that may be used to counter your insurance denied of the claims.
