Just a warning....I read some of the complaints about this company after seeing their ad on indeed.

Now....there may be something to the claim that they are, indeed, providing a service. But buyer beware...if it's information that you already were aware of, or simply information on how to write a resume or conduct one's self in an interview, that, you can get many places, for free. Maybe they do provide some useful information, I don't know. But the fact is, they make claims that come with a lot of implications:

-That they are connected in some way to airlines and airports(they don't seem to be).

-That they "help" you get a job. I suppose that depends on how one interprets that. Showing someone how to write a resume could be construed as helpful, but as I said, the service you are actually paying for may not be that which is implied.

-That they are reputable. Reputable firms take credit or debit cards, not insist on cash, money orders, or cashier's checks.  The corner newspaper stand down the block from me takes cards. Period. Endof story.

I could go on, but here's the most important thing. Their initial phone recording says, "Airlines in the NYC area, JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark international airport are hiring.

That may be true, to some extent. Again, I don't know.

But here's the thing: I spent a little time actually going to the websites of many of the airlines at one airport, JFK. The fact is, the actual stated availability of positions is extremely small, and virtually NONE with "no experience necessary". Simply put, there is no flood of hiring going on at these airlines. Another implication they make.

Let's cut to the chase. If an individual told you the things american Careers does, in the end, you'd call them a liar.

There are simply too many red flags, here. "help" is a vague word. As is apparent as well, it's also a shameful word, in the hands of some.

Shame on you, American Careers.

Save your money, folks.

During this holiday season, I would like to say that I am thankful that I found American Careers LLC.  I came across their advertisement in late October.  I sent in my information and payment and worked closely with Melody.  She was very patient with me and helped me with all of my questions and needs pertaining to employment.  I am truly blessed to have obtained my dream job.  Thank you American Careers and Melody for making it all possible. In the short term I could have listened to the complaints that I obtained online.  In the long run I went with my gut and took a chance on American Careers, I am very happy that I did!  Wishing everyone else out there the best in their career search.  I hope that you found the help that I did!

OK folks; please let me try to shed a little light on this thread.

First off, my name is Yvonne Foxworth. Regarding our Service, we simply assist Applicants obtain employment through the information that we email/mail them to get them started with the Application Process. We then follow up with phone support via our Career Counselors to assist them in every aspect of the Application Process (Application, Resume, Cover Letters, Thank You Letters, Interviewing Techniques, etc) through our Airline Career Development Guide & our Airline Hiring Update, which includes current listings of Airline Positions & descriptions which the Applicant may then apply for at various Airlines. We will attempt to obtain as many interviews for the Applicant as we possibly can. The $39 one-time fee we charge is refundable in the event we are unable to obtain employment

Not angy, tired of simpleminded people

Excuse me, I read your originial report.  I did not like the tone because I did get help from the company.  Why I am on here is of no business to you, but if you would like to know.  I defend what I believe in and I believe in what this company has done.  I have family members that own their own businesses and if it were not for caring consumers that go back and file rebuttals and set people straight on the matters at hand the businesses wouldn't be doing as well as they are right now.  As to why I am on here when I have a job, I do have days off and I do have alloted hours.  Really?

As far as what American Careers did for me here is a simply put list:

  • They called me when I left a message that I needed more information on their services.  One of the counselors spent over an hour on the phone with me explaining their procedures.
  • I got my initial email, applicant id #, and application from Yvonne Foxworth.
  • I read over my materials as I was told to do.
  • The following day I got a call from my career counselor Melody.
  • Melody helped me to put together my resume, cover letter and thank you letter.
  • Melody also helped me to prepare me for my interview with the questions that I was going to be asked in the interview.
  • Melody helped me to know the jobs that were hiring in my area, and also let me know the jobs that were hiring in my desired airports: Atlanta, and JFK.
  • Melody helped me to apply for my desired position at both airports with multiple airlines.
  • I was called for interviews and was ultimately hired.

All in all, this took about 5 weeks from beginning to end.  I am not in an entry level position, as many of the applicants aren't.  Yes, I know the answer because it was one of the questions that I asked.  American Careers is a tool that can be used to help to find employment.  You can apply on your own without the help and guidance, but I know what I am talking about and know that this company truly does help.  There are many that choose to file reports without knowing what the company does and automatically think, OH, too good to be true.  Its not, but you have to want a career and you have to want to put effort in.  You get what you pay for, The truth is if you aren't satisfied with American Careers services you can get and are entitled to a refund.

You Seem Angry

AUTHOR: melissa0859 - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, September 30, 2014

I didn't "go to the airport".

I checked a box on several of the airline's websirtes, the one that says "careers", or "jobs", or something similar. Please, don't make assumptions, or accusations that you don't know are fact.

Most of them had a small handful of posiitions available, xcattered all over the country. Most of those required prior experience, or were very technical in nature. (engineers, mechanics). The overwhelming majority of them, if one was qualiified, and if one was offered a position, would require that one move hundreds or thousands of miles. But AC dooesn;t say that. Their recorded announcement leads ons to believe that there is this overwhelming rash of hiring going on at local airports. That does not seem to be the case.

From what can be discerened from a search of job availabilities, BY AIRLINES THEMSELVES, the statement, "Airlines at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark international are hiring" may be technically true, but in a practical sense, completely misleading, and for all intents and purposes, is not the truth.

Lastly, two things: How did AC "help" you, exactly? In the tiime it takes you to write an angry rebuttal, you could explain, step by step, in detail,  exactly what they did that was so helpful to you. If you are, in fact, a satisfied customer, and not an employee or manager posing as a customer, please tell us what position you were hired for, where it is located, where you lived when you began your job search, and what airline you now work for, as well as a detailed summary of how AC "helped" you get said job.

And...you seem angry. Why are you so angry? As a matter of fact, why are you even here? If I had a full-time job with an airline, I certainly wouldn't be spending my time on consumer protection websites. I'd be working, and living my life. Methinks you may not be who you claim to be.

AMERICAN Careers helps those in need.

AUTHOR: Mable J. - ()

POSTED: Monday, September 29, 2014

Just a clue, to those who don't know how to pick up a phone and dial, before they post report of knowing it all on Rip off sites, here is one for you.  American Careers has helped me out in the worst time period in my life.  I just lost my husband of 30 years.  I haven't worked since I was 20.  I did my work raising a family and keeping our household in order.  American Careers supplied me with everything that I needed.  American Careers does indeed help you to search for a career that is suitable to your expierence.  They help you in every way possible.  I could care less about what form of payment that they accept.  They are convience stores that take cash only.  There are newspaper stands here in the city that take cash only.  I gave my money in good faith and got what was needed from the $ that I spent.  Get over your whining that this company is a scam and do the proper research.  Bless those who don't do their due dilligance and lie before they could pick up the phone.  Just a hint my dearset, you don't go to the airport for airline positions....you go to the airlines.  Shows how smart of a cookie you are.  WOW (SHDH).  POST WHAT YOU KNOW, Not what you don't!!
