American Home Shield Home Warranty A Service Master Company Air Conditioner Coil Fraud or Scam Scottsdale Memphis Tennessee

My heat pump has not been opperating correctly for 2.5 years. I have had 3 different American Home Shield contractors look at the system three or more different times. Each time the contractor would come out and do what is called by the AC contractors as a pump and dump on the compressor. This is where your AC coil has a leak but do to the expense to replace, the contractor LIES to the consumer and says the system just needs a capacitor and a little R22. In reality if you have to have a tech charge your system every 6 months then you probably have a leak!!

Well this has happen three + times (my home temperatures were getting above 86 degrees in the summer and below 65 in winter) when finally I made the contractor diagnos the actual problem. It took 10 minute to take an R22 testor and find that the coil was leaking. The tech documented the leaking coil after two visits by the same company and said he would call his report in to AHS. A week goes by I don't hear from anyone. I then call AHS after 6 days and they tell me that the tech never called the diagnosis in. I faxed both invoices to AHS rep. He said he would call me back.

5 days pass and I have to call again (a different rep) tells me they are still waiting for the report from the tech. I call again after week end and magically the rep reads the notes and the tech had called in to replace the coil but wants to charge me a disposale fee of $250. I still don't have this in writting and I am activly looking for a bulldog autorney to talk to. I have been cheated, ripped off and lied to more times than I can count from this experience and I am going to make sure the buck stops HERE. I am looking for a good reporter looking for great story also.
