Like many of the people who had problems with this company, mine began with a phone call following a bridal show stating that I "won" a $300 gift certificate for laser hair removal. I was told I would receive an additional $100 if I scheduled my "free" consultation within 2 days. On a whim, I scheduled the appointment for the following morning.

When I arrived, I was given paperwork to fill out, and sat and waited for 30 minutes past my appointment time (9:00). I had class that morning at 10:20 across town, and was about to leave (I should have run!) when I was brought back to a small private office. They explained the lasers and how it would feel and the process I would go through..another 15 minutes later, I finally asked the prices. I was asked to list all the treatments I'd consider, "just to price them out". I was given a "monthly payment" quote, and when I balked, she pared the quote down to just the treatments I had originally said I was interested in, which was more reasonable (though still significantly more expensive than treatments friends had had, though I didn't know that at the time). She stated the "monthly payment" would enable me to pay off the balance within a year, but when I did the math, I realized that "monthly payment" would only cover 1/3 of the balance in a year. Still, I bowed to the sales tactics and filled out the form she gave me. I assumed it was just for a credit check, to make sure the office would be able to finance me, but she left the room, and returned with a credit card slip for the full amount. When I asked about it, she brushed it off, and said "you'll get billed monthly for it, not to worry, etc". So I signed it, and was rushed out of the office (at this point I had 10 minutes to get to class!). I was not given any paperwork or copies of anything I had signed. She even began to tear off my copy of the credit card slip, and then stopped.

After much thinking that day, I returned to the office when I was finished with my classes at 5:00. Again I waited 30 minutes to see the manager, and was told "I can't give refunds, I don't know how to reverse charges, I'll need to talk to my regional manager and get back to you". I was assured she would call me that evening. Needless to say, I didn't get a call that evening, or the next day. The following day, I returned to the office, and found the manager at the desk. I asked if she had been able to get in touch with her regional manager, and was told "oh, yeah, but it's going to take a few weeks to.." and then she stopped herself, and said "Oh, wait, yeah, that's done. It's reversed, and finished". After everything I'd been through already, of course I didn't believe her, and demanded a copy of the credit slip. At first she refused, and after much sighing, eye rolling, "whatevers" and "i hope you know what a favor I'm doing you"s later, I got a copy of the credit voucher from Care Credit. I still don't have copies of the contract, original credit card slip, or credit application. I've closed my account with Care Credit as well, and am expecting a letter detailing the closure soon.

I will never work with this company again, and while I did get a refund (unlike many on this board..scary!! I'm so sorry for you all!) I will spread the word not to do business with them. I'm contacting the better business bureau and my state attorney's office, and I've already sent a letter to the bridal show where I heard about them.

I am the one who stated above I loved them... Well 2 years later I hate hate hate them. They burned me here in tucson and I still don't have the results promised. I think we should get together and file a class action lawsuit.  I also had supposidely won the 300 dollars off.. SCAM!!!

I love American Laser

I have been with them since 2007. I started in San Diego and transfered my proceeders down here to the one on Oracle. I have had nothing but great experiences with them. They work with my schedule, are helpful with any questions, do nice little things for me to make me feel comfortable (like ice my legs before the laser starts). You claim others are unhappy, but my friends and I love them?

Satisfied and wanting more!
