I paid online for services a few hours ago. The charge went through immediately. However, I received no email confirmation from the vendor, though I did receive an alert from my bank asking me to confirm charge (which I confirmed).

Two hours later when the American Online Bankruptcy's website would not accept my email address/user name & password to go online to begin filing Chapter 7, their system will not allow me in.

When you click on their "Customer Service" tab, there is no customer service information or method to contact them. This link is simply a return to the payments options page.

They offer no physical address, email address, or phone number to contact them. They do have a contact form you can fill out and submit, but doing that does not result in an automatically sent "we received your contact request" email that any legitimate company generates. I still have not heard from them, other than that they immediately went into my bank and debited $187.

I skeptically used with No problems

AUTHOR: ANTHONY - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, February 10, 2019

It's always a risk to do business online, most people with common sense will research heavily before doing so, that being said I am actually in the middle of useing their services. I looked up reviews prior (did not see the RIPOFF report) and was satisfied with what I saw. Kinda glad I didn't see it ONLY because everything I paid for was delivered as advertised.

I don't know if this is a scam per se as I got what I was expecting. My understanding is that they are a Bankruptcy document preparer. The site spends alot of time asking you to READ READ READ everything which is important. I did have some minor concerns with a form missing OR missing information but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Our Bankruptcy was fairly easy and black and white. I imagine if it were more difficult (involving lots of assets, accounts etc.) I probably would have used an attorney, however I did read everything (and checked with the courts) and filled in the blanks if anything changed or was missing which wasn't much.

The downside is the fact there is no "realtime" customer support (phone number or email) but they DO/DID respond to my question(s) with in 24 hours as advertised and (I fact checked their answer) the answer was not only timely but appropriate and true. IF this is a scam they are the most helpful scammers I have seen. Now some of their claims should probably be dialed down a bit on timeframes but again not a deal breaker for us.

We just submitted to the courts Feb 2019 so the jury is still out on rather the documents submitted were official and complete. If you are contemplating useing this service and are on the fence, I suppose I can be the guinnea pig for you. feel free to contact me and I would be happy to share my ongoing experiance bad or good but so far I have no real complaints keep you fingers crossed.

As I go through the steps after filing I will update this post so others like me can have peace of mind one way or the other.

Rip Off Artist

AUTHOR: Greg - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 13, 2017

I also used the American Bankruptcy Company to file a bankruptcy. When I first visited the site I thought that they filed everything for you to the bankruptcy court through email or online. I found this not to be true. All they do is take your information and put it on appropriate bankruptcy forms. If you are filing a Chapter 13, they do not prepare the plan for you. That is left up to you. Although they did a pretty good job of filing out the forms, I had to file them myself. They leave one big question unanswered on page 8 and the bankruptcy court came back to me on this. The question is: "Did you pay or agree to pay someone who is not an attorney to help you fill out your bankruptcy forms.?" I truthfully answered "Yes" and listed the American Bankruptcy company. The bankruptcy court answered back and asked for Official Form 119. It also asked for this under line when answering Yes. I have tried and tried to get the American Bankruptcy Company to provide me with this form and they never did. Now they are saying the my time period of 60 days is up and want another $39 as an extension fee. I am not going to pay the fee because the American Bankruptcy Company is apparently not a legit bankruptcy form preparer. The bankruptcy judge has already sent me a Order to Show Cause and if I cannot get the Official Form 119 completed and to the bankruptcy court by December 20, 2017, my case will be dismissed and I will have lost the money I paid to the American Bankruptcy Company about $200, filing fees to the court of about $300 and around $100 in shipping the forms and additional forms. So unless you want to lie on your forms and say that you filled them out yourself, the forms will be useless. In my opinion "Don't Use American Bankruptcy Company" because you will be losing your money.

Banned Bankruptcy Provider

AUTHOR: Dana W - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 27, 2016

The individual running this site and countless others has been banned from doing business in the United States by the US bankruptcy court for years! His name is Henry Ihejirka with known associate Geoffrey Barnes.

In Late 2013 an article was published by a Mr. Tim Mcglone of PilotOnline.com exposing Henry Ihejirka and the continued illegal activity being continued from thousands of miles away offshore. The U.S. Marshals sevice has a standing order to arrest Henry Ihejirka for civil and possible criminal penalties.

Shortly after the publishing of the PilotOnline article,  Henry Ihejirka shut down all sites (at the time run out of the country of Israel) and communication with any customers ended and effectively thousands of dollars of money were stolen.

Of course, around six months later his new series of website's re-emmerged under a few different names located and hosted in Amsterdam Holland.

americanonlinebankruptcycenter.com=and= americanonlinebankruptcycenter.co (not .com) as to hide.

documentaid.com - Formally debotoraid.com

Probankruptcysoftware.com

and a few others...

Starting in early 2016 a prethora of sites from the same server in Amsterdam emerged:

mainbankruptcy.com

bestonlinebankruptcy.com

excelsiorbankruptcysoftware.com

bankruptcyexpertsofamerica.com

truebankruptcysoftware.com

magmabankruptcy.com

vistabankruptcysoftware.com

magellenbankruptcy.com

americanbankruptcy.com

altivabankruptcysoftware.com

americanbankruptcyalliance.com

ebankruptcysoftware.com

21stcenturybankruptcy.com

perfectabankruptcy.com

onestopbankruptcy.com

consumerbankruptcyspecialists.com

certifiedbankruptcypreparers.com

homelandbankruptcy.com

americanabankruptcy.com

nationalbankruptcypreparers.com

milleniumbankruptcy.com

eonlinebankrupty.com

50statebankrupty.com

southstreetbankruptcy.com

majesticbankruptcy.com

novabankruptcy.com

Magentabankruptcy.com

smartchoicebankruptcy.com

All these sites are on the same server in Amsterdam Holland......

All sites registered on or about 10/28/15 from the same reg company with hidden personal information.

Oh.. and just like the previous Israel sites, serveral fake review sites:

chapter7onlinebankruptcyreviews.com

onlinebankruptcyreviews.com

They only feature their sites with a few non-competing lawyer only options to make it look legit (which it is not)....

I have shared this new information with Mr. Tim McGlone, the original whistile blower of PilotOnline so he can update the original article for re-publishing and hope he response with an updated article exposing these criminals ASAP.

Questions about process

AUTHOR: vucarre - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, June 17, 2016

You say your bankruptcy was discharged in a few months? I thought, and I could be wrong, that it took at least 2 years to get a discharge. Also, you did not mention having to have the credit class. Did you not have to take a credit class?

Bogus Positive Review

AUTHOR: Charley - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, October 19, 2015

This person giving a positive "all went well for us" review is suspect at best. I just filed an amendment with No help from American Online Banlruptcy Center. Because there is none.

1st. They have no address.

2nd. They have no Phone number.

3rd. They have no email reply only tickets with non-sensical canned replies.

There can be no help from people who do not communicate. Smells like a rat. Why would a "Happy customer" who has Never spoken directly to anyone from the "Company", becaouse there is no one to talk to, drop by to give a few good words?

I left my negitive review to warn people. This "person" leaves a message to encourage people to drop their money into an online business with no phone, Chat or email responce.

That is just what I did and I am an idiot for doing so. If you want to lose your money on a product that did not work for me- follow in my stupid footprints.

Note 1: My BK is not even complete and I am now locked out of site. My first email to them I asked "How Long Do I Have" and the canned responce implied I would have almost an unlimited time.

Now they are asking for another $39 for an extention.

There is nothing to extend- I had to seek out a Lawyer to file amendments.

Note 2: I still believe you can succeed filing with online help, just not American Online.

If they have no phone, Chat or email responce- run away.

I used them too

AUTHOR: Nancy - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, July 13, 2015

We also used American Online Bankruptcy Center and we have nothing but good experience with them. We used them in January to file a chapter 7 in LA. First I had read the testimonials on their site and was not sure they were legit, but my husband and I decide to try them anyway. We had no issues with ordering and there were no real problems with the process.

We had to try twice and that was because the 1st credit card I was trying to use had just been cancelled by the bank. On second try with our debit card it went through and we logged in right away. They provide you an intake system where you list your bills and your assets and they also provide a bunch of other free add-ons that we found helpful. The first was their ask-a-lawyer service. O

ur case was a bit complicated seeing as my husband had racked up debt from his failed company and so we wanted to talk to a lawyer to see what they thought. American online bankruptcy provided us with four links to lawyers in our area and when we posed our questions to them, we got replies from about half a dozen lawyers, one from Santa Ana and the others from LA. Now we could relax knowing that the AOLBC appeared legit. We got our finished documents in about 3 days and that was because we took out time giving them our information. To make a boring story short, the trustee meeting went very smoothly.

The trustee said we would be given the discharge in a few months. After the trustee hearing, we discovered that we hand left off two more creditors and so we went back to them and they helped us to amend the filing. We got our discharge a few weeks ago and we couldn’t be happier. What a relief! Now we can start saving for our kid’s education now that the debts have rolled off. I can definitely say that they are a legit company and if you had problems ordering or logging in, it must have been just a technical glitch. I hope this helps.
