America's Servicing Company (ASC) ripoff mortgage company, unnecessary late fees accessed, does ASC post thier accounts daily? Baltimore Maryland

In agreement with Danny from California, I had a quite similar incident happen to me last year with America's Servicing Company (ASC). We had been out of the county for 2 weeks and paid all the November bills in October. I did not receive my December statement and subsequently did not mail ASC a payment. The account is due the 21st with a late charge assessed after the 6th of the following month.

I was cooking dinner on the evening of the December 22nd and received a phone call. The gentleman proceeded to tell me he was with another named mortgage company and began asking personal questions regarding my identity. I told him I was unaware of the firm he was with and would not give him any information. Then he said America's Service Company and they had not received a payment for December and was there a problem. I checked my records and verified that I had not sent payment and he wanted the $15 fee to make payment over the phone. I said that was OK, I'd mail my payment in as I had 15 days until it would be past due.

Well, I was shocked to see my January statement as they had not processed my check until January 9th! Eighteen days to get to Baltimore from Dallas Texas????

Our mail to relatives in Ontario Canada is received in one week. I know there is something going on that is not legitimate. What can you do though when your loan is bought out by mortgage companies such as this? Pay them off quickly! Save interest and headaches!!
