Americas Servicing Company - ASC can be a total nightmare. I began my relationship with them 2004. Total horrors! Everything I've read here happened to me. I got threatened foreclosure notices within my billing stament prior to the money being due.

I refinanced my mortgage, paid off ASC, then my new mortgage was sold to them within a few months. Now its back to square one. I was sick! Their posting of payments late was solved by a report I read here,the person advised using Western Union Quick Collect.

Each month I write a check on my bank account for cash, referencing in the memo; ASC/Western Union. I pay by Western Union. My payment is time stamped received by them as soon as the WU transaction is completed. My account with them is now a breeze, they know I can easily prove when payment was made. This is little extra work for me, a little extra money in WU quick collect, but it has reduced the hassle of phone calls from them, negative emotions on my part and has created and excellent record of exactly when I paid them. There are now no extra late payment fees, and tricks.

By the way even if you pay them a month in advance to make sure the money is received by them on time, they do not post the payments, they hold them until the 16th or 17th of the month, now you owe a late fee.

I spoke with customer service and had a very pleasant conversation. This was not possible when I was paying them via check, via pay by phone and using any method that would allow them to have me at their mercy. Western Union Quick Collect allows you to remain in control. I track every payment, too. I call them and give them the money control number and ask them to credit my payment.
