Americredit Financial Services Inc THEY SENT THE IRS A 1099-C STATING THEY FORGAVE A DEBT OF $9,942 BUT NEVER SENT ME ANYTHING AT ALL. THE IRS IS NOW EXPECTING ME TO PAY FOR THIS. I SENT A LETTER ASKING AMERICREDIT FOR A COPY OF THE FORM TO SEE WHAT ADDRESS THIS WAS MAILED OUT TO BUT THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO MY LETTERS FORT WORTH Texas

 I received a letter from the IRS stating that I had not list a debt forgiveness on my return for 2012. When I looked at the letter it listed Amercredit Financial Services Inc for $9,942 but it does not state for what. I checked my credit report and there was nothing sent to them.

The IRS is now expecting a payment from me on something I had no knowledge about. I sent a letter to Amercredit using the information provided on the IRS letter but it was never replied to. I have never received anything from Americredit to be reported to the IRS yet it seems that the IRS does not care about it, they only care about collecting money from me.

I tried several times to contact Americredit via phone but it just rings and evey prompt you could think of comes up but no real person ever comes on to actually talk to me.
