Americredit Financial Services, Inc. ripoff Arlington Texas
*Consumer Comment: UPDATE on our Carmax / Americredit Debacle {Still at Loss}
*Consumer Suggestion: Americredit linked to CARMAX Spot Delivery Scam possible...?
Charged 22.5% interest which is illegal in Stateof Mo.
If a deferment is requested, they add 2 months payment to end of loan and then charge interest on the entire amount.
After paying on loan for 2 years, am paying off this date and still owe $9,280.00 on a car. But at least i am not paying the l6,500. which they originally charged. a real rip off. fortunate to be able to get rid of this company and they should not be allowed to do business anywhere.

UPDATE on our Carmax / Americredit Debacle {Still at Loss}
AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, September 01, 2005
Not only were we going into 5 weeks now after we left dealership with signed documents and finance papers showing Americredit as 1st lienholder; but Americredit still did not respond to my questions from July 25th, and told us we had no file with them or loan for that Carmax vehicle!
So as we were advised by the Consumer Car advocate program I was on, we sent check for 1st payment to Americredit along with registered mail and signed documents showing their name, etc. They cashed that check!
But, before they cashed it (looking at date on cancelled check), I and my baby boy were hit from the rear at nearly 50 MPH by a utility truck and totaled that car now, and we became injured from that accident.!
So, now the Carmax mess was still not ever dealt with satisfactorily, and the scam they played on our family, and now that car was totaled from an accident! The insurance compnay of the faulted party contacted Americredit, paid settlement to them, and here we are now with no money left, no car, and amounting medical bills, treatments, therapy, MRI's, and 4 doctors involved in care for me and my 4 year old son from that accident!
Awful d**n funny, how Americredit had no loan for our car (though we had docs they were 1st lienholder from July 6th), and from this unexpected accident, they now send us a letter "congratulations on your Carmax loan & purchase", and now the insurance company, when contacting them, paid the settlement to Americredit and now that loan is wiped clean! NOT one penny of that money went to us, nor fact our cash downpayment we put forth or trade-in at time we got that car from Carmax...
UNBELIEVABLE!!! As far as Carmax, we still have NEVER heard from their General Manager over this. But their lawyers from VA did call twice finally last week (nearly 8 weeks after-the-fact), asked for all documents we sent to General Manager of that Greenville, SC store, and all of a sudden they are quiet too and we hear nothing from them! My wife even told their lawyers at the time we are not settling for losses and how Carmax messed with our credir scores, lied to us, misrepresented our facts to lender, etc. causing us 5 weeks of misery, unrest, stress not knowing what was going to happen to this new car we had signed documents for; yet, 3 weeks later, we get strange calls "technically there is no loan on your car yet".. How the hell can this happen to us or other consumers and nobody do a d**n thing about it?
It is wrong, and now, because of bad fortune from the convenience of an accident totaling that car, all of a sudden Americredit steps in and is "lender", and within days is paid off for that loan "that never really was" from Carmax?? Does this not seem strange to anyone out there reading this and all the crap Carmax put my family through...
Had Carmax done the right thing weeks ago, and their G.M. handled this properly before we even filed claims with SC Atty. General, we would have had a clear title at the least; and with this accident happening, we could have had the settlement, not Americredit, and now my family not be without a vehicle, or the monies we lost as well from the original downpayment causing us to be in such dire situations right now.
We have all proof & documenttaion throughout, and it is evident Carmax and/or/together with, perhaps, Americredit Financial, are orchestrating such scams on the public and because of our misfortune with a rear end hit on that vehicle, they all of a sudden are exonerated at my family's cost, and now quietly disappear wihtout even a response why they affetced my family with their scams to begin with??
ANYONE out there trying to engage a Class Action Lawsuit against CARMAX and/or Americredit Financial, PLEASE contact us as we are willing to lead the charge up front with our experiences & documentation and sue the hell out of those bastards for what they are doing to good, decent American citizens and getting away with it, while we are put into financial losses and our credit manipulated by their tactics & practices!!
IT IS NOT RIGHT !!!

Americredit linked to CARMAX Spot Delivery Scam possible...?
AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

Read up on CARMAX "Spot Delivery" scams here on the Rip Off Report site, and see the many articles written.
We oursleves have been hurt by Carmax unethical loan schemes and have Americredit Financial behind those and a rate of 21.5% which is highway robbery!!!
We have contacted SC Attorney General's office to the Greenville, SC Carmax lot in question as well as I have been a guest on a consumer auto advocate radio program called "Car Concerns with Harry Douglas" out of Knowville, TN to what happened to us with Carmax, and Americredit as lender scheme.
They may be able to help you too as they did us.
