I just wanted to inform people who have not received this info.
Ameriquest Mortgage is changing their name to AMC Mortgage Services, Inc., effective April 1, 2005
Us who understand who have been victims of this rotten company understand why! Also note we received a phone call stating are mortgage was late and we already submitted it.called us 03/09/2005 10:15am he did not give his name when prompted. He just stated that our mortgage was late was not submitted on the first. Stated they give A grace period of 8 days only. Which we all know is A crock! Everybody knows with any right mortgage company you always get A grace period of 15 days. The man stated that he would enter judgments to credit bureaus and he will put points against us. In the contract it so called states we have A 15 day grace period. He just kept threating us with this!

I just recently got out of my mortgage with Ameriquest (after we forked out 5k for a pre-pay!) and I had the same problems. I would mail my payment, let's say April 20th so it would be there by May 1....it would NEVER be there on the 1st and I would start getting calls on the 5th. It says right on the bill that after the 16th they charge you a late charge...so if they call again...tell them to "Do the right thing" and quit calling you since it's technically not past due.
