AMERIQUEST MORTGAGE - AMC MORTGAGE SERVICES LOAN OFFICER USED MY LANDLORDS BANK STATEMENTS!! ripoff SANTA ANA California

I too have a mortgage with Amaeriquest Mortgage AKA AMC Mortgage Services. A loan I could never afford! I am self employeed and due to a bad divorce I was broke. I rented a condo with a lease option to buy. After five years my landlords told me I needed to do something because they needed to sell.

I desperately seeked a mortgage company and found Ameriquest on the internet. I gave the loan officer my information, including that I was stated income and could not produce bank statements. Since I deposited my $1,150 payment into my landlords account each month he told me to get 12 months bank statements from them. I did. He also mad e me write out on a piece of paper that I made $6,000 a month. I told him I did'nt even make half of that! He stated, that's okay, we need to do that to get the loan approved.

I was approved @ 9.5, not knowing I had a 3 year payment penalty that was never explained. My three years were up in 2005. My interest rate is now 11% and just received a letter that my interest rate will go up again in August and 6 months thereafter!

I went into foreclosure in 2002 with a $2,200 forbearance agreement! I have struggled and how I payed it I'll never know.

When I was late they threatened foreclosure and added more fees. Today I am in a chapter 13 to pay my debt. Ameriquest has caused me so much anxiety that I am now on medication.

I know there are lawsuits. I live in Colorado. Can anybody here tell me how to get on the attorney general list?

By the way, my closing costs were over $8,000 on a $130,000 loan.

I have paid on this loan for over 4 years and stll owe $137,00!

During my foreclosure I paid over $20,000 in forbearance payments.

As you can see I have paid them thousands and thousands of dollars in four years and still paying! No other mortgage company will touch me!
