i applid for the anacott financial credit card on sept 15 2010. iwas told that i would get my mastercard with a 2200 dollar limit between oct15-20. i received my card on oct 22 but was surprised to see that it was not the credit card they told that i was going to receive, but a credit card exclusivly for there credit repair services. i like many others was counting on that credit card and also was lied to about what i got. i have tried to call there since then and have recieved no response. i really think that it is a shame that this company has put people in worse shape than they were in to begin with. there website said nothing about a " credit consulting credit card" and that seems to be the only thing that they are giving people. i have not heard of anyone that received anything but this card or nothing. i really think that this company needs to be investigated for internet fraud. when i was approved for this card i was very specific about asking them what kind of card it was and was told numerous times that it was an unsecured mastercard. i think taking peoples money and lying to them should be reason enough for the fbi to shut them down.

Deregulation does not apply.

"Deregulation does not work, and the laws still do not protect the American people, there needs to be more not less government restriction."

The credit card industry is already heavily regulated.   The problem in this case, which seemed obvious to me, is that scammers do not follow regulations.  How does creating more regulation address the OP's problem?   Oh yeah, I forgot.  The FTC will fix everthing.

It is a horrible miscarriage of sane business practices that too many companies have been allowed to defraud the public! Deregulation does not work, and the laws still do not protect the American people, there needs to be more not less government restriction. Banks and mortgage related products tend to be the worst and it is for this reason I suggest contacting a government agency that will go after offending practices that are systemic.
