I just need to vent about this company. About 4 months, we hired more employees, at that time I felt it was nessarry to begin advertizing to keep everyone busy, its alot of pressure to make sure your employees get 40 hours and can support their famlies. I called Angie's list, since we had a few good reviews on their website. I ask how much they charge, it was roughly $400, I remember asking if this was $400 for the year, they said it was, I thought that wasn't too bad, and that I'd like to try this out and see how it goes. I trusted that the sales rep would have to tell me if this was a monthly charge, I've worked in sales before, and the companies I have worked for have always required you to tell the customers pricing, you could get fired if you didn't. I trusted the sales rep, my first mistake. A few weeks later an account specialist called me, I expressed that I hadn't gotten a single call from someone who found us on Angie's List, I always ask, he hung up on me. I thought whatever, $400 bucks for the year, I guess I got screwed, but $400 sucks but not that bad. The account specialist called about a month later, which confused me, especially after the first converstion with him. I said the same thing, no one is calling me from angies list, he said he'd call me back, never did of course. I would occasinally log onto my business account, there is a section the says "statement" but that section was always blank, my payment info was alway blank too. I also use google adwords, they make charges very clear, I assumed the same would be true for this company. The credit card I used, I never really look at the statement to be honest, I don't really use it, I just sent them $400 after I paid for the Angies list..... then a couple days ago I look at my statement, my credit card is maxed out! Late fees for not paying for their charges! I called Angies list and said I needed to cancel my account, I wasn't aware that this a a monthly charge, we are a very small company. They charged me again the next day. I can't believe they would do this to us. The reason I had looked at the statement in the first place, was to see what my available credit was. We had reacently lost quite a bit of money on some jobs and was going to use this card to buy my kids their Christmas presents this year, I feel so broken. How can they do this and get away with it? Thats all for now, its time to think of what to say to my kids about Christmas this year, that it was taken from us, by corperate greed. Thanks for taking the time to read this and say away from this evil company.
