Every report I read is identical to what I wish to express in this report. When I balked at paying $99.99 up front before computer was fixed I was told by sales rep Russ (badge # GWSS153) the it was 100% guaranteed. After authorizing payment I was transferred to tech (Rayson) who spent approx 35 - 45 minutes with the charade of "hold down this key while pressing that key, and so on), while putting me on hold for 10-12 minutes two times. Finally, Rayson said he could not help me so I thanked him for his time and efforts and asked how to go about refunding money to my account. This is where it gets ridiculous. Rayson starts jabbering about he can't authorize refund and maybe he could try something else and I've had it waiting and being put on hold so I ask for supervisor. Now comes Leander and it gets even better. He tries to work the old "you need to go buy a restore/refresh disc and call back within 3 days) trick like I saw in previous report from other victim. I explain that I am not inclined to do this as I was promised by sales rep that computer would be fixed for $99.99. I continued to ask politely for refund only to be denied and fed long line of BS. I say goodbye and I'll call back Sunday. Meanwhile, I contact Microsoft support for my windows 8 issues. It took a couple of hours but they got me fixed up perfectly and even tutored me on several other things I didn't even know how to use. So this evening I call "answers by" back to complete process for my refund. This time I get hold of a gentleman named Rao who claims to be "the proprietor" of the company. He takes the cake; very smooth and rehearsed. Perhaps because it is the same BS he repeats over and over to all the people being ripped off by his shady business. So, yes, I am another victim but I'm so glad to have found this site to sympathize with fellow victims and hopefully warn others before they get sucked in. This guy, Rau, would not give me his last name; all I found out was that he is somewhere in India...imagine that! So, for my next step in this project I have begun letters to Gateway and Microsoft corporate offices informing them of this scam being perpetrated in their name. Maybe Mr. Rau thinks he is untouchable because he is on other side of world in foreign country, but if enough of us holler loud enough about this rip-off artist he just might feel it where it hurts...Thanks for this opportunity
