 Hey Ladies and Gentlemen,

Beware of fraud by Gateway service providers.  I needed to get a Recovery Disc for my laptop.  The person helping me over the phone (Raf) told me that I didn't have to buy the disc because my recovery information was in a "hidden" file on the hard drive. 

I told Raf that I had been told by the "Geek Squad" that the recovery portion on the disc was corrupted.  The slick salesman (Raf) had me perform a couple of tasks on the laptop which seemed to be functioning okay.  He said, "see, the information is there, and our technicians will get the laptop up and running in no time". 

I really believed that my Geek Squad people knew what they were talking about, so I argued with Raf for nearly an hour for information on how to get the Recovery discs.  I did not stick to my belief and let him talk me into pay the $99 so that the technician could help me.  Well, you guess it!  The information was not there as Raf promised!! The technician could not help and my money was gone.

Don't do business over the internet with these foreigners hired by Gateway, HP and other computer manufacturers.  These folks are there juar to get your money and will lie to you... there are not "customer service providers" but moneymongers there to rip off your money and the hell with you after they get it!
