Anti Virus 2008 Anti virus 2008 ripped me off... it doesn't work and it screws up your PC, it won't even activate but keeps poping up and blocking things!!! Internet
*Consumer Suggestion: Sounds like......Not a real Anti-Virus software
*Consumer Suggestion: I had the Same ad pop up
I ordered Anti Virus 2008 on June 05, 2008. It kept coming up on the screen until I finally broke down and bought it. The total cost was $109.85, charged to my credit card. Since then, it continues to pop up on my PC and misdirects things, and blocks me from doing work. I can't always open my email because it blocks it with another warning. I feel like an idiot now, but I want to clear all this from my PC and stop my credit card from being used as well.
It keeps coming up saying I need my license number to continue, but I never received such a key or code. There is nothing on the order that indicates such a thing.

Sounds like......Not a real Anti-Virus software

What kind of Anti-Virus did you download? If it was one of those crazy pop-ups that randomly appear on your screen, this is just a scam. It is not a real Anti-Virus. They scam you into buying something that doesn't do anything. I would enable your pop-up blocker on your PC and call your credit card company to dispute the charge.

for a month or 2 I had the same ad pop up as if it were a SECURITY ALERT, BUT WHEN YOU CLICKED IT CAME UP AS AN ADVERTISEMENT. well that was a RED FLAG. so I went to research possible ways to remove it and finally found DIGITAL LOCKER there I downloaded a pc tools SPYWARE DOCTOR and free it works great they do have an upgrade which i have not had to use yet. It will help you remove this pesty trojan, I really recommend it and have no affiliation with it but love and gratitude for it's ease and makes me feel very secure ad safe now when I visit web sites, it alerts me every day if there are infections, trojans, and tracking bugs and removes them for me, and as i said it was FREE.
