I'm going to try to get an Xbox console by following the instructions on www.anyfreegift.com. I'll update you on my progress. So far I've completed two of the offers found on their site. I called them to confirm them on my account, which they did.

The gentlemen I spoke with said that they would send me an email with the confirmation certificates attached in 45 days. When I asked if I could get them sooner, he said that their sponsors required a 45 day time period before confirming with them. (To insure I stay with the sponsor?)

Once I receive the email, print out and mail the certificates to Anyfreegift.com, then they have 6-8 weeks to process my request and mail my gift.

I'll keep you posted.

The End

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 30, 2005

Today I received a check for $150 in place of an Xbox. They said that the gift was in high demand, so they sent the money in its place. I went out and bought an xbox immediately. It turns out that they were telling the truth. It took a while, but I've got a brand new Xbox. By the way, we love Blockbuster.com and have already made our money back with the Entertainment Book we purchased. I hope this little experiment helps you in your search for "free" gear.

Looking Good

I spoke to someone on August 8th who told me that my Xbox had not been shipped, but that she would put a "rush" on it. When I asked what that meant, she said that they would send it when they got one in stock. At the most it would take 2-4 weeks. I'll keep you posted.

Human Error

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 13, 2005

I called back today to check up on things. I spoke with a much nicer lady today who told me that they received my certificates on June 13, not July 13, and that everything was in order for me to receive my XBox. She said that the 6-8 week shipping period began on June 13th, so I expect my Xbox sometime before August 8th. This is much different from what I was told previously. I'll keep you posted.

Delay of Game

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 05, 2005

Today is marks the sixth week since the U.S. Postal Service says that Anyfreegift received the required signed confirmation slips I sent by certified mail on May 23. Since they said that they would ship my Xbox six to eight weeks upon receiving them, I gave them a call to check in.
I was told that I would be added to the "shipping list" on July 13.

I asked if my Xbox would ship on July 13, but the phone attendant replied that July 13th is the day when I would be "processed" and the Xbox would ship 8 weeks later. She also said that they have no record of receiving my signed confirmation slips. I then told her that I had followed all of the rules and asked why it was taking so long. She said every thing was running on an eight week delay and that I could mail a complaint to the PO Box number.

We have enjoyed our Entertainment book and Blockbuster.com, but I'd like the Xbox they promised. It could be a justifiable delay, but I'm suspicious. I'll keep you posted.

So Far So Good

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 16, 2005

On day 45 I noticed that the two offers I accepted had been approved on the website. Upon clicking on the "approved" links, a page openned that told me I had received an email for obtaining the certificates. I had not. Once I called customer service at (512) 652-9015 and requested the email, it was sent to me at once.

I have just printed off the certificates and will mail them today or tomorrow. According to them, I should receive my Xbox in 6-8 weeks. I'll keep you posted.
