March of 2006, I purchased a E-Machine Computer. It offered in it's package was a "Free 6mth AOL trial" that could be cancelled by contacting AOL before the end of 6mths. Well I tried the free service for a couple of months and I didn't like the way it seemed to invade every part of my system (which I am still trying to uninstall). I stopped using it and have a different service.

So before the end of the trial period, I recieved a "Full sign up" notice on-line that invaded me on-line so I wrote that I was declining and was notified that I would recieve further information at a later date. November 2006 with no notification, there was a $25.90 AOL charge on my credit card-that (which I am Extremely FRUGAL with and would never use on line) I purchased my computer with . I reported it to my credit company and got it removed.

December 2006 I recieve a notice from AOL collections that my account is 130 days past due-threatening me, that if I don't pay the money that they would report me to the credit bureaus. When I called,Alice B......... said that it stated in the terms that I had to "call" AOL directly inorder to cancel the free trial. How I asked, I never recieved any notice with phone number to call. She stated that she did not know where it stated that but I owed the charge and she would close the so-called account but she did not have the capibiltiy to send me any receipt but to call the customer service pn# that she gave me-they would send me it. I was outraged at this extortion. But I did pay it with a lesser card, so they would not ruin my credit with this scam. (I did call and then faxed the confirmation number to them but I never heard back).

But now every month I am still recieving collection notices and have to get angry at the reps (2nd notice David then 3d notice Ricky) just to get them to look up the comfimation number of my payment and closed account. But the reps insist that I send them a copy of my credit card statement showing the payment, which I flat out refuse! How do I get them to stop this and not report this against my credit? I even gave the money to them! The new notice states that I am Still 130 days late! Help me please! March 2, 2007!!!!

Wait I just recieved another notice and this time I didn't call as usual so now March 16, 2007 AOL has turned me over to an outside collection agency "NCO Financial Systems Inc" and the mailbox is full!
Help me please! March 16, 2007
P.S. Figure $25.90 x 150,000 people x 12 mths= $46,620,000.00 Extorted Per Year!
