I was just notified that my checking account was over drafted. It was over drafted due to this company (APEX Enterprises) taking out fees greater than what they had told me.
I do not have an account with this company. They called me saying that I would receive a free camera, free vacation package and a few trials from a variety of their products.
They told me, The only thing you have to pay is the shipping and handling cost of the product. I asked the company numerous times about what charges there will be and they told me everything was free, and all I had to do was pay for was shipping and handling, which was a nominal fee of $1.95.
Ive been waiting for that small fee of the shipping and handling to be charged to my account, but today, I was staggered to find out that they withdrew $169.93 from my account!
I contacted my bank and told them that I must have been scammed. My account is now over negative 200 dollars (the overdraft charges/169.93 charge) because of this company. I am still working with my bank on it, but I am doubting I will see the money ever again.
The customer service phone number that my bank found was a customer service number for 'Time Warner Cable Company' out of Ohio. I called the number and I ended up talking to several representatives that had no idea what was going on... so no luck there.
I'm a poor college student in the Army Reserves and I work hard for my money and it's a shame that anyone should have to go through this. I can tell it's going to be a long process...

So.. I found their Apex Enterprise's website (http://www.apexservicesonline.com/index.html), which contains a false customer service number and a few links that don't really even work. I continued to look for a number where I could get ahold of them at, and I found it on some other website where a person was scammed the same way as me. I called it and the representative gave me the run-around saying that I didn't cancel the 10day trial and they were charging me for the services. When in fact, the representatives I talked to in the first place said I would never be charged more than the 1.95 fee for the shipping and handling, and that I didn't have to unsubscribe from anything because there would be no future charges. The guy was real disrespectful and I told him he is going to have to take it up with my bank and so forth. I found many cases on the internet all over about this same thing happening to others. Don't give these guys any of your information!
