Applegate Sweepstakes Prize You've Won $50,000-NOT! London Nationwide

I recieved a letter in the mail from Mr.Barry Howard. It said I won $50,000 U.S. dollars. In the letter it explained that every year Applegate enters 50,000 names from different sweepstakes and lottery databases.
I got suspicious and I gave Mr.Howard a call. Then I recieved a check in the mail for $3,100.00, which I deposited into my checking account.Mr.Howard said to give him a call when it was in my account.So I did.
My bank is holding it for 7 days.Mr.Howard said that he can make it available on Thursday, somehow. He did not ask where I bank or anything.

Things that made me suspicious. First the letter came from the UK, Second the check was a Bank of America check, Third the check was from The Lasik Vision Institute in Flordia USA.I got 6 different names between the 2 letters, and 2 different address.

This really makes me angry and these people need to be stoped. I pray that someone reads these and decides to prosicute these people,and give all of us the money we thought was real.
