APPLEGATE SWEEPSTAKES I WAS SENT A LETTER FORM THE UK STATING THAT I WON THE LOTTERY FOR 50,000 US DOLLARS. I NEEDED TO CONTACT THEM WITHIN 14 DAYS TO RECEIVE MY MONEY. I CALLED THEM AND THEY DID NOT WANT ANY INFORMATION AND THAT THEY WOULD BE SENDING ME A CHECK. I RECEIVED A CHECK TODAY FOR 3.120.00 DOLLARS. THE CHECK IS FROM A COUNTRY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION IN FL. LONDON United Kingdom

I received a letter informing me that I was a lottery winner in the UK for 50,000 US dollars. I was curious so I called the number and asked to speek to Mr. Richard Self. I told him that i thought this was a scam and he said no he did not need any information about me for me to claim the lottery prize. 2 weeks later i received a check for $3.120.oo issued form a credit union. The name of the credit union is Country Frederal Credit Union located at 100 South Lima Street Baldwin Fl.32234 Phone #1-877-684-6160 The check is signed by Jeffrey Harris. The letter that was with the check is signed by a Priscilla Sullivan. The letter also states that I should call Mr. Self in London again to get the nesscessary clearance needed to release the balance and to get a tracking number. It also states that the winners should keep their winnings confidentioal until all money has been received in full.

I beleive this is a scam and someone should put a halt to this before someone gets hurt.
