Job seekers...ask yourselves...why would any legitimate employer want to hire a recruiting firm like AppleOne to find talent in today's economy when there are so many unemployed talented people available?

In Oct./Nov. 2008 I was in the process of moving from Reno, NV to Las Vegas. I submitted my resume directly to Vanguard Integrity Professionals for an Inside Sales Account Manager position that was advertised by them on monster.com. The ad said they were only interested in local applicants but I decided to give it a go anyway. I never heard back from them.

My experience with this recruiter started when I first moved to Las Vegas in early 2009. I replied and interviewed with this recruiter for an Inside Sales Account Manager opportunity for a local software company. Prior to my arrival I worked in B2B sales at Intuit Corp. in Reno, NV and also for Informix Software in Menlo Park, CA . During our interview, I asked her if her client was Vanguard Integrity Professionals which took her  by surprise. She said "good for you" and confirmed that it was. After speaking about the opportunity that I was interested in, she asked me if I would be open to other opportunities and I said that I was meeting with her for the position that she had advertised for. She ended our meeting by telling me she thought I was qualified and would be getting back to me soon. I never heard back from her about Vanguard but shortly after we met, I started to receive mass e-mail job listings from her. Jobs that had nothing to do with my skill sets. I asked her to remove me from her mailing list, which she eventually did. Here we are...almost two years later and the same Inside Sales Account Manager opportunity ad is still running on various job boards, the most current being from 11/03/10 on lasvegasrecruiter.com.

Many of you have used "Bait and Switch" to describe AppleOne. I am sorry to admit that you may be correct.

Btw...I learned from a former AppleOne recruiter that the recruiter I interviewed with is or had been dating the owner of Vanguard Integrity Professionals.

So now you know.
