I had been with appliance appointment.com for several years paying what I thought was a reasonable rate of $359.40 per year or $29.95 per month, December I get a email telling me that figure is going up to approx $250 per month.

I call to cancel my service and was talked into staying as a customer at the rate of $22.00 " PER JOB" I told the girl at the time I did not want the service because of the amount of "time waste calls". She assured me that with the new filters in place that would not happen again so I said I would try the service again for one month.

Around the middle of January tired of getting "time waste calls" I logged in to the account to discover I had been charged for most of the calls (at the time I thought it was 10) I swiftly called their customer service department (if thats what you call it) to have those charges removed only to find out the service was not what had been represented to me.

Instead of "per job" I was told I could be charged for any appliance related call. This then meant if some moron calls me who cant read and asks "Do you sell appliance parts" I get charged $22.00. They were rude and uncooperative and basically treated me like I work for them.... not them for me.

They were told at the time to cancel the service, Because the way the service had been portrayed to me, I  also told them I would only be paying the $44.00 for the 2 jobs I did get. I promptly canceled the  credit card they had on file (I was not going to pay $220 for 10 calls when I only made $300 from the 2 jobs)

I waited for a bill to be sent out for $44.00, in the mean time I continued to talk to them about remaining with Their service. They gave me the hard sell to try to keep my business, I was bombarded with emails telling me unless I entered a new credit card my account would be suspended (should have been canceled the day I called) I was bombarded with sales calls and emails.

Finally yesterday I get a notification from them informing me that my account would be canceled unless it went live again, They also called me (I was on another call) within a few minutes of them sending the email and leaving a message a charge was made to my personal bank account card. This was for the amount of $594. This charge was NOT authorized by me. They had dug through my previous payments looking for a alternative card they could charge.

This was a credit card I had used once or twice last year, the fact I took it off my billing should have told them they did not have my authorization to use it again.

I then call them only to be told I must have logged in to change the card number myself since that was the only card they had on file even though it was not, The card they charged was my personal bank account, the card they had on file was my business account.

I contacted my bank, they tell me to work it out with appliance appointment first, I call them they wont refund my money, They are told they were not authorized to debit that card, Im told I must have logged in to change my card number number (even though I canceled the business card because I had no intention of paying their rip off fees)

With my busy schedule I have tried to work with them so far as sorting this mess out, I dont think 2 Jobs for which I earned a grand total of approx $300 is very good value for money considering they are trying to charge me almost $600 for the advertising, They have committed fraud by charging a card you had no permission to charge.

I went with Google ad-words shortly after canceling their service. My ad Is above theirs, I thus far have had 9 jobs locally to my business for the total cost of $46 this month. The only thing I suggest to them right now is refund the money before my bank makes them (they will incur costs) and send me a bill for $44.

Secondly rethink their sales department, customer service department, Lastly have a serious think about their charges, $594 for a bunch of crap calls and 2 jobs just wont float most small guys boats, might work for sears with money to burn but not the small guy.

They are just a middle man that does some advertising for you on Google, The normal rate is $25 per call...Absolute rip off...your money is much better spent with Google ad-words. Not to be trusted with your credit card numbers, Customer service sucks, Kienan the supposed customer service manager is a slimy lying snake, He would be better as a pressure salesman then a customer service manager looking to help his customers out.

You Couldn't Have Said It Better!

I have also used their services and it is a huge scam. The Felix recording softare they use is a joke. The owner of ApplianceAppointment.com also created Yext.com (not surprising). He is also the inventor of Felix, the recording software that is only suppose to charge for good leads. I was charged $250 for 10 calls, 5 of which were the same customer calling back to pay their bill. Long story short, run away and don't be taken!!
