Arrowhead Credit Union Kicks a Disabled Person When She's Already Down San Bernardino California

Seven years ago, my sister was severely injured at work, and ordered not to return. Of course, it took the state forever to approve her disability application, and in the meantime, she lost everything: her cute little house in the mountains, furniture, etc. She had to declare bankruptcy, but excluded her car from the bankruptcy. She paid off the car loan in full to Arrowhead Credit Union, and they said they would send her the title.

They never sent her the title. Now, four years later, they are holding the title, and trying to bully her into paying them additional money for the title, threatening to repossess it, and scaring her half to death. She gets disability income from the state. Come on. She's living on NOTHING. How is it right in anyone's mind to try to extract money from this poor lady?

All she wants is to be able to drive her 10-year-old, 102,000-mileage Corolla to the grocery store and the doctor's office, and to register her car in peace.

She needs legal advice, but has no money to pay for it. What is the statute of limitations on this?

She has already paid off the car. She has no memory, and there is no mention in the bankruptcy document, of the small loans Arrowhead claims she had with them. Can they legally hold the title in this manner? Can they threaten to repossess the car?

This is a nightmare! I would never again do business with Arrowhead Credit Union.
