  • Ashley Furniture 5026 Frankfort Ave Lubbock, Texas U.S.A.

Ashley Furniture sold us furniture that was damaged and was not repaired adequately or replaced. They also promised delivery on a certain date and we received about two- three months later. I took them to court and won the case even though they had a lawyer my husband and I appeared with out a lawyer. We still have not received the amount they were ordered to pay us. We thought we were buying nice, new furniture, but that was not what we received. The furniture is very poor quality and had many things wrong with several items. It was very difficult to get things fixed and when they were it was not properly fixed. We needed the furniture at a particular time. They said it came in at that time, but when we went to pick it up it was not all there. Most of what was there was damaged.

We have taken them to small claims court and won the case, but the amount we were awarded was minimal. It will not pay for the expensives we have been out trying to get our furniture fixed and get the other item in that was missing. They still have not paid the amount the court ordered them to pay. So now we will have to file a judgement against them.

If you are thinking about buying furniture from Ashley, think very carefully first. They charge a lot for their furniture. They told us we should have examined the furniture before we bought it in the store. I advise you to do just that if you are thinking of buying there and examine it very carefully to make sure legs are even, that drawers will open without a yank, no scratches, and everything that you can possible think of. The furniture they have on the floor may do just that, but when you pcik it up at the warehouse do not accept anything unless is is fixed properly. They have so many problems that they have full time help at the warehouse to repair the damages before the furniture leaves. Then when it is in your home the scratches will come back as the paint or whatever they use to cover them up will wear off. Do not sign anything they give you when you leave with the furniture or when you buy the furniture because what they don't tell you is there is information on the back that releases them from any responsibility at all. They do not have to fix anything or replace anything. So if you sign, you just got stuck with the junk and it is yours.

I found one identical item that we bought from Ashleys for sale on Ebay. If I had bought there instead of Ashleys I could have bought two, including shipping, of the same item I got at Ashleys and still had a little money left over. The one I bought had about a 6 inch scratch right in the front and now the paint has worn off so I am stuck with junk.

This place is a total rip-off.
