I have had this card not even a year yet. On May 6th 2006 they closed my account for no apparent reason. I was making $50 payments every other week to get my balance down and when I tried to use the card on May 26th it was declined. I immediately call customer service and of course I get some people that cannot hard speak in english. They came back and said that the account was closed for delinquent payments. I informee them that this could not be right because my payments were on time and I paid more than the minimum.

They looked back on the account and my card had been switched to a program that I gave them no permission to and that program caused the card to be closed. I demanded to speak with the supervisor and finally she sent the case to a account specialist. I had to call everyday and finally it was cleared up after two weeks of bickering back and forth. I am trying to rebuild my credit as well and needless to say if I have one more occurrence with them they can keep the account closed and I will pay off my balance as needed.

Only a company rep would write this stuff!!!!

I do not see ASPIRE VISA as being a reputable company. ALL the employees are in Panama! Consumer comments can be made by anybody. I know this for a fact. My boss does it all the time on Amazon.

ASPIRE Worked for Me

AUTHOR: Chip - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, July 24, 2006

My credit was shaky after being a poor grad student for 2.5 years. I got an Aspire 'gold' card with a measly credit limit. Sure, the interest was high, and I hated that stupid monthly fee and outrageous annual fee, but I paid it off every month, and I got something like 3 credit line increases.

I had the card less than 2 years. I got a platinum Mastercard with a $5,000 limit through a 'real' bank. I did a balance transfer, called Aspire and closed my account over the phone. It was instantly closed.

I never once had a bad experience with them.

It's expensive, but if you're looking to improve your credit score, Aspire works for some people. And it's through CBT (Columbus Bank and Trust)...I've never heard of CompuCredit.

Good Experience with Aspire Visa

AUTHOR: Amanda - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, July 23, 2006

So far, I have had a good experience with Aspire Visa. I applied and received my credit card with no problems. I have received 2 credit increases( without asking) and I have only been with them less than a year.

When I got married, there was no hassle with being issued a new card with my new married name on it. They automaticaly cancelled my old one and sent me a new one.

Unfortunately, not everyone will have my good experience with them. However, I will always keep my eye open.

Aspire Visa is a ripoff

AUTHOR: Charles - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 16, 2006

The parent company of Aspire Visa is called Compucredit (compucredit.com), based out of Atlanta, GA. They make their money by extremely overcharging unexpecting consumers inflated interest rates, late fees, penalties, etc. Unless you are willing to shell out more than you originally had, which is not the case if you are applying for a credit card, do not apply or use this credit card or any credit cards from this company.

What is the Program

AUTHOR: Alesia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 14, 2006

I have an Aspire Card also. I have never had any problems with (so far) but that doesn't mean anything. I have paid them off because the interest was too darned high.

Please tell me what type of program they put you in that caused this program.

I have spent the last 4 years rebuilding my credit and the last thing I need is some snag that I was not expecting.
