Aspire Visa is trying to sue me for a dept that has been PAID IN FULL!! Internet

Back in 2002 or 2003 I was made a offer to "settle" my account with Aspire Visa to prevent any further negative activity to be placed on my credit report. I took advantage of this opportunity due to me not having a great payment history with them. My balance was $600 and some odd dollars and was encouraged to pay at least of it and everything would be settled. Now here I am in 2008 and I received a Summons from the Cook County Clerk's office stating that I was being sued for $3468.96 by Arthur B Adler & Associates. I have contacted TCF bank hoping that they have a copy of the check. Since then, I've switched banks and quite honestly don't remember the exact dollar amount or the exact day it was handled. After googling ASPIRE VISA, I have found so many HORROR stories about the company but one story made me smile. If enough people complain within a single state or about the same thing, another class action suit (http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/07/ny_columbus_bank.html) can be issued against them. I refuse to pay this SCAM, RIPOFF, BOGUS, FAKE company another dime of my hard earned money. If anyone wants to join me in filing a Class Action Suit...I'm SERIOUS and will only deal with those who are as SERIOUS as I am!!!!!!!!
