Initially, my husband spoke to a guy named James who said he was a "good ole boy" from North of Atlanta and he would give us the best deal. After some research on the web we decided to go with the quote of $2,600 (fixed rate) that James had secured for us because it seemed that the company was legit. Well, come to find out later they had changed their company name not too long before they contacted us and that is why we did not see Atlantic Relocation as a scam. After the movers had spent 12 hours loading up our house (yes, 12 hours) they told us we owed $500 extra dollars for boxes! We figured we git scammed and that would be the worst of it, but when we woke up the next morning around 4:30 to leave for Tampa we had a voice mail from the supposed owner, Jay aka YAIR, saying that if he did not receive $500 more we were not getting our stuff. The message was left in the middle of the night and my husband called him back at about 5:00 am to tell him that we would not pay him another dime after he already scammed us out of $500 and that if he did not follow through with the contract we would contact an attorney. YAIR told my husband, "You are messing with the wrong guy, F- you" and hung up on him. WE contacted an attorney we knew at about 6am and he took it from there. We were supposed to get our stuff Sunday and we did not get it until Wednesday, after having to file suit for extortion and property theft and threaten to pursue federal criminal charges. WE also had two of his ex- employees on our side telling our attorney they would testify against him in court. This guy is the biggest liar and scammer I have ever dealt with. If something like this happens to you, please do not hesitate to call an attorney and scare the crap out of the company. This is a crime and you do not have to deal with losing your money!

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Make Sure You Contact and Use the REAL Atlantic Relocation SYSTEMS

AUTHOR: Kellymc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 16, 2008

The company described in this report is an imposter. They have registered with the Secretary of State as "Atlantic Relocation Incorporated," and have been using that name despite being warned that they are infringing on the rights of Atlantic Relocation SYSTEMS--a trade name of Atlantic Moving & Storage, Inc.

The real Atlantic Relocation SYSTEMS has received numerous complaints about this imposter and is actively trying to remedy the situation.

The address and number and names mentioned in this report are 100% definitely associated with the imposter company. I highly recommend that you make sure you are using the proper company, which has been around since the 70s and is an agent of major transportation lines.
