Atlas Roofing Did not do the work after hiring for fencing job - no money was exchanged Houston Texas

No rip off here - just a very bad way to do business. After seeing an Atlas roofing billboard on the gulf frwy, I decided to request an estimate for both roof work and fence work. I ended up getting a better bid for the roof work and chose a different contractor. They bid a fair price for damage to my fence.

I contacted the sales agent and told them that I wanted to hire them for the fence work only. I was told no problem and the work would be completed Wednesday of the following week.

Wednesday came and went and three weeks since then and the job has not been done. I tried repeatly to contact the sales rep leaving messages on his phone. I finally got him on the phone and I am pretty sure he hung up on me. I called right back with no answer.

I can only assume that since the fence job was small in comparsion to the roof that they were upset that I did not hire them for the roof repairs. I am now glad that I did not.

I am not sure that Atlas Roofing is a Texas company. I have been unable to find anything else about them. Their bid contained "State certified Roofing Contractor LIC 074265" owner Leo Scheidler. They have an office at 9125 Airport Blvd Houston, TX 77061.
