I returned a damaged Blue Tooth for exchange to Cingular returns in Ft. Worth, Texas in January 2007. No refund, no new Blue Tooth. After repeated calls, I spoke with a Laquisha Barstow who did not want me contacting ATT about my lost property. Within 3 hours of my call to Cingular/ATT/ Ms. Barstow, "someone" ordered 3 Black Jack Phones using my identity and billed them to my account.

I live in Pennsylvania. The phones were shipped to:
13249 Robson St
Detroit MI 48227

Before the phones were shipped to Detroit, I received an e-mail "confirming" my order. I immediately called Cingular, Roselle Echenique, from Cingular equipment fraud who stated she would put a stop to the delivery, not bill my phone, and not extend my contracts as the thief had extended them for the equipment upgrade. (NOTE: UPS has "intercept service: Per UPS: "The shipping option you are inquiring about is known as UPS Delivery Intercept service. This service can only be requested by the shipper.")

The following day, after 5 pm, UPS delivered the phones:
Tracking Number: 1Z 1WF 744 13 0512 791 0

Today, ATT, Jack Foster, suspended all three of my cell phone and service.

I live in Pa, why did they deliver $1,600 worth of phones to a Daniel Steel in Detroit Michigan AFTER I alerted them of the fraud?

Too many insiders at ATT overriding the system, and stealing consumer id's.

can't file an intercept with UPS

Large companys have special rates with shipping providers.

Once the order has been entered there is no going back, the phones will get shipped out. UPS Delivery Intercept service is not included in reduced rates for large companies.

More likely the person who ordered the phones did not the last 4 of your social and could verify the account and order the phones, or the sales person, if it was done over the phone, didn't enter the phone number correctly and it should have gone to a different person all together.

Have you ever lived at that address before? Sometimes for tax reasons the previous address on where the phones are used does not get changed to the billing address and the order person looks at the wrong screen on your account.

If it was ordered over the Internet, it was more likely Identity Fraud, and the person had all your information.
