AT&T/ Dish Network Ripoff of removal of equipment from home and deceptive billing practices Milwaukee Wisconsin

AT&T specifically the Dish Network came to my house to intall their satellite dish on my roof. I own a stone two-story cape cod and the instraller drilled holes into my house in areas where the black wires where seen by all! I cancelled my Dish Network services shortly after and asked them to take their equipment off my house. The operator said that there will be a service charge to do that! I have pictures of the wiring and satellite dish that is still on my roof since I cancelled back in February, it is now June. It is an eyesore and a constant reminder of how this company treats homeowners.

In addition to this travesty, I was hit with a whopping extra $129.32 "miscellaneous charges" for pay per view channels that you as a parent have to block yourself, even though you did not want them in your network package in the first place. The minor in my home was able to order these channels with a simple push of a button. Some that cost $8.99-$11.99 where ordered on the same day! When called to contest, they were able to "adjust" SOME of the charges @ $23 dollars worth but not the other $94 dollars!

I was on the phone with several different representatives because AT@T and the Dish Network have different billing adjustors and operators which is another thing I did not know about. I thought I was signing on to ONE company for ease and convenience but it was just a big headache because I was transferred from not just ONE but FIVE different agents in one phone call. I was on the phone with them from 7:00 p.m. until 9:28 p.m. on 4/10/07 with no resolution to the issues I called about.

So as an educated consumer I would like to warn other consumers to be aware of these AT&T/Dish Network awful business practices.
