This Company deploys several unethical practises that they knowingly use to deceive customers and profit by so doing. Their service policies overlap in such a way so the customer is found somehow at fault. A policy for customer pick up of an item is timed so that there are very limited windows of opportunity within a 14 day period after close of auction to arrange pickup, which therefore allows them to charge and profit from shipping if you fail to catch a time when they are actually open. How many "service-based" businesses do you know that manage to stay closed on Mondays and Tuesdays? When visiting the address to receive items bought on auction, or by direct order, the sales reps deliberately overlook items when picking your order. The items missed by the AuctionMaxx staff then are "reconsigned" without any prior notification or warning whereby they charge an outrageously high handling fee on top of keeping your purchase money until said item is re-auctioned. Usually, if not always, the auction price for reconsigned items, through failed pick up, are not "pushed" and sell for less than your original transaction so Auctionmaxx therefore keeps the difference. The term "pushed" in this complaint refers to the practice where auction companies hire other bidders to hike up the price in order to artificially create a bidding war only to reconsign at no penalty later if they outbid the "pigeon" bidder. The deal pricing and the outcome of auctions are surprisingly high by comparison to liquidation pricing. The so called. "advertised new" listings are often inflated to misrepresent to savings value of items. This Company is a minefield of consumer fraud pitfalls waiting for buyers. Beware. Beware. Beware. In a world were the customer is supposed to be treated fairly, AuctionMaxx actually has achieved a new low.
