MESA AUTO CONNECTION rip-off liars, fraudulent thieves

On 4/6/00, I thought I was going to buy a 1993 4x4 pickup. I gave the salesman $3200.00 in cash to purchase this vehicle. I drove the truck for about a month and I asked Chris Adams for the registration. He said, "You should get it in the mail anytime."

I proceeded to give Auto Connection another $400.00 up until the date of 5/28/00, when I called Auto Connection again and asked Chris Adams about the title and registration. I was concerned because the plate on the truck were going to expire the following Tuesday after Memorial Day. Recently, I heard on the news that many auto dealers in Arizona have been selling vehicles that they do not own and consumers have to return the cars to their rightful owner.

Chris Adams the owners son told me, "I'm not sure where these items are but I'll look around and see if I can find them." He asked me about my payment but I brushed him off until I could get some paperwork with registration or a completed application.

I did pay him to transfer title and registration as of 6/10/00. I still received no answer.

They stole my truck on 5/28/00 in the middle of the night. They also took personal property worth over $3,800.00 that was in my vehicle and my tools that I require to use at work. When contacted, they agreed to give my personal property back. But they changed their mind and have not given any of it back as of 6/10/00.

I refused to pay anymore money to Auto Connection until I got what I was supposed to, just like I was told.

When I saw my truck at Auto Connection on 6/6/00, the door on the passenger side was damaged. They then gave me the option to payoff $6,550.00 or they were going to scam someone else and make me pay for the damage to the truck that they did.

UPDATE- I called the BBB, they said that they have had complaints against them and that the Auto Connection has been non-responsive to any of the complaints. When I requested for the Better Business Bureau to fax the reports on them, all I got was the name address, phone # and the years they have been in business! They said there was nothing they could do? Well, there a great help.

Their phone number is 480-649-5555.
