Autographs America Bought 6 records from this company... all fake. Maple Valley Washington
* : What rubbish!!
* : All items authentic
I bought two Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band autographed records (Nebraska and Cover Me). Two Led Zeppelin (In through the Out Door, and Song Remains the Same). One Rolling Stones (Dirty Work) and one George Harrison (Gone Troppo). These were claimed to be 100% authentic, and I sold one of the Springsteen ones as authentic. I spent nearly $1,000 i believe and I'm seriously angered.

What rubbish!!

Stand behind your product 100% hey??
Lets read what your website has to say:
Authentication Guarantee
Every item purchased from us comes with a Certificate of Authenticity guaranteeing it to be authentic. Each item has been authenticated by American Autograph Authentication Services, and the user of the web site accepts the validity of the authentication at the time of purchase, and no other opinion of the validity of the autograph's authentication is acceptable.
Returns - Resolution of Disputes
Returned items are only acceptable, if they meet the Authentication Guarantee requirements for such a return. First, an agreement must be made by Autographs America that an item, or items, has, or have met the scope of proof to constitute a return, i.e., that the item, or items are, or, were absolutely not signed, or autographed by the artist, or artists in question, and that the purchaser can provide the burden of proof, other than an opinion of another authentication service that the item is not authentic. Otherwise, said items are not returnable, or refundable for any other reason.
In plain English - you buy from our website you agree that OUR OWN authentication service (operated by Brian Burkel as well) says the item is real - we don't care what anyone else says. What sort of authentication is that??? What sort of guarantee is that?? It means that if you take the item to a third party (as I did) and they say the item is fake, we don't give a rats because you agreed to OUR terms when you bought from us. That is absolute rubbish!!! Stand behind your product - if its real it will pass the test from any authentication service, or do you have something to hide???
What about Tom D who purchased a signed Beatles & Elvis guitar from you? Has a personal meeting with Joe Esposito. Joe is considered the most reputable person on earth regarding anything to do with Elvis. ( He spent 20 years, 1958 until death, with him. ) After close examination, Joe immediately said that the signature is a fake. Even though he does not authenticate Elvis items for a living he has been asked many times over the years to do so and has been proven correct on every occasion.
What was your response when he contacted you with what Joe Esposito had to say about the signed guitar - "100% of everything that I sell is from reputable dealers and collectors. Also, an opinion from anyone is not enough to return the guitar and get a refund. Not even a person as knowledgeable as Joe Espisito.
Mr Burns/Burkel stated that he needed more defining evidence.
OK - lets ask Elvis if he signed the guitar, would that be "defining evidence" for you. Probably not.
There is a great article written by Steve Cyrkin at Autograph Magazine. I suggest anyone even contemplating purchasing something from Autographs America read what Steve has to say about not buying forgeries. Article can be found here.
