Automotive Training Institute ATI, Chubby Frederick, Chris Frederick, Chris "Chubby" Frederick, Auto Training I FIRED ATI two years ago and never looked back! BUYER BEWARE! YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF BY ATI! Baltimore, Maryland
I quit looking back, too! I LOST too much money with ATI !!!!!!! Youll love the ATI business model if you like screwing your employees and customers alike! What is the ATI big and expensive secret (the one that begins costing you over $40,000 not including travel, lodging, and meals)? You get to pay all your technicians flat rate, you get to make your best technician responsible for a team of entry-level wannabes, and you get to use bait-and-switch advertising tactics to jam your shop full of customers! What a great way to treat your employees and customers! That is exactly how car dealers do it and that is where Chubby learned it! Before you know it your best people are bailing out and your customers are filing volumes of Better Business Bureau complaints against your shop. When you ask your coach, his coach, the director of all the coaches, and finally Chubby himself for help, you get nothing. No support. No compassion. No answers. You will find that Chubby will not return your phone calls, emails, or even respond to certified mail! So you complain to the Maryland Better Business Bureau and they do nothing. They tell you that they can only help consumers who have problems with businesses. Since you signed a contract with ATI, there is nothing they can do to help you (all the while posting A+ ratings for ATI on their website). Same goes for the Maryland Attorney Generals Office! You will soon find out that Chubby has everyone on his payroll using your hard-earned cash! There is lots of quality automotive training out there that is light-years ahead of ATI. Continuing education is the key to success in any endeavor, but ATI does not really offer any training. All you get from ATI is cash flow problems, frustration, and headaches. If you believe the ATI pitch, then you will believe that David Copperfield can really make a Lear Jet disappear! You will soon find that Chubby and his staff are as good as David Copperfield, but they really can make your cash disappear!
