Avangate Tweakbit PCSpeedUp, PCBooster and Driver Update misrepresented the pricing. discounted cost shown was per month. no extended amount was ever shown until I noticed the charge to my cc which included an uplift of $19.95 USD.  Unknown Internet

When I called their customer service to cancel the charge, the CSR wanted to remotely access my computer. Then I was handed off to a service technician who wanted to remotely "clean up my computer" but would never state the amount of the charge to do so. Hung up and called my cc issuer to put the first charge in dispute and requested a new credit card in case this one was compromised. All of the CSR and technical support was from India.

Pricing was misstated ( amount shown was per month ) and not depicted at checkout that they would bill for 12 months plus another charge of $19.95 for something else. I immediately called their customer service number and the CSR wanted to remote access my computer to check which software had been installed from Avangate. Seemed fishy as the order number would have given them that information. When it became clear to the CSR that I wanted a refund and credit on my credit card, she immediately transferred to me to someone supposedly from their technical support team to browse around my computer in order to repair "issues" that they had detected. He kept telling me this was free if I was not satisfied with the service but would never state the amount for repairing my computer remotely. At that point I terminated the call and contacted my credit card issuer to put the charge in dispute and request a new credit card.
