I was hired by Avon Cosmetics Inc. as a District Sales Manager, to recruit and train women as door-to-door sales representatives.  I was promised a weekly salary..and was never paid by Avon.  Avon used my time, my car, my gas, my mileage and wear on my car.  Worked me from 6am to attend corporate meetings and drop into bed at midnight totally exhausted; while I hauled lifted and toted tonnage of boxes of Avon If I had been Allied Moving Vans, I would have been paid several hundred dollars just for the tonnage of hauling. I was never paid at all by this "woman's opportunity" and I found Avon to be very abusive and contempuous of the lone women they recruit to sell..many of those lone women were senior on Social Secuity, others lone mothers

Avon jeered my efforts to get both paid for my WORK and reimbursed for expenses. I suspect I made it too clear that Avon treatment of powerless women was abuse. Avon is in for some big surprises. I was mistaken as powerless lone women. Which was a very much unplanned form of investigative reporting. When I get done exposing what I witnesed Avon do to other women as "women's money making opportunity" Avon will never wipe the red off face

What can you expect of massive cosmetic companies that spend millions$$ on ONE model and pay the women who WORK 2% commissions or nothing at all but "chance" They shout contempt for women who work to earn money in 'her own' industry
